00:00let's talk Fernando Tatis. Yeah, Tatis has been one of the hottest hitters in baseball
00:07over the last month or so. Uh, but there is a bigger picture here when you're looking
00:11at Fernando Tatis. Now these numbers are eventually going to even out, but so far it's been pretty
00:15strong and at home struggle bus, a two 22 batting average of three 11 OBP, a four 72
00:22slugging is 73 OPS on the road though. He's at three 41 this year. That's 120 point difference.
00:29A four Oh five OBP and eight 77 OPS. Unbelievable difference. Right? And it's funny because
00:36I remember one Soto having a lot of problems in San Diego too at home in that ballpark.
00:41So I don't know if it's the batter's eye there. I don't know if it's jet stream stuff. I don't
00:44know what's going on. I know they've made adjustments to that ballpark over the years,
00:48but something is a miss in San Diego because if you look at these home numbers here for
00:52Soto last couple of years before he made that move. And then of course this one here for
00:55Tatis, another guy to Kyle Schwarber where you would think home would be better for Kyle
01:00Schwarber. It has not been this year, a two 25 batting average at home with a seven 46
01:05OPS on the road. Kyle Schwarber sitting two 79 this year with an eight 58 OPS, which is
01:12really bizarre. Now schedule does have something to do with some of this stuff, but there's
01:15enough data now this season to really look at splits and utilize them for fantasy, utilize
01:22them in wagering. If you're looking at Kyle Schwarber on the road right now, you're looking
01:28at total base props. If you are looking at Chris Paddock on the road, you're looking
01:32for overs. You're looking for overs on the earned runs. You're looking for overs right
01:36now on the run line, the total runs, excuse me. You're looking for all sorts of ways to
01:41exploit these weaknesses that these guys have and they've shown you now, will these weaknesses
01:45all stay? Probably not. Things tend to marginalize a little bit, but then there's ones like Kevin
01:51Gossman. I can't explain it. Last year, he had a three ERA on the road and at home. And
01:56this year, when you have an ERA, that is that bulbous. That is six. I mean, I just don't
02:02know what this great word, but you know what you have to do, take advantage of it. And
02:07when you're setting your fantasy lineups, it's another thing you have to be cognizant
02:10of. You've got Kevin Gossman right now on a two-star week with two road starts. You
02:14better think long and hard about, I mean, you got to start them there, but if he is
02:17at home for two starts, maybe just think twice about that. Maybe that's the problem
02:22right now. He figures out how to get more consistent.
