GameStop's Annual Shareholder Meeting Plagued by Server Crash, as Traffic Overwhelms Servers

GameStop's 2024 annual shareholder meeting was disrupted as the servers hosting the online stream crashed due to overwhelming interest and traffic. The meeting was hosted on ComputerShare's servers, but users received error messages, and the page would not load when trying to access the livestream. A Computershare customer service representative said their servers could not handle the large volume of users trying to access the GameStop meeting. Interest in GameStop recently surged after investor Keith Gill, known as 'Roaring Kitty,' resumed posting on social media after a 3-year absence. GameStop shares rose over 14% during the renewed meme stock rally and interest.
