01:17James Blunt
01:18Nothing in James Blunt's early life signaled a career in music.
01:21In school, he excelled at the likes of physics and chemistry, and he later studied aerospace
01:25manufacturing engineering in college.
01:27He then served time with a regiment of the British Army called the Lifeguards.
01:31Blunt went on to serve in the Kosovo War, carrying out aerial reconnaissance and choosing
01:34targets for bombings.
01:35I'm not having my soldiers being responsible for starting World War III.
01:39He was also a part of the so-called Pristina airport incident, which had the potential
01:43of kick-starting World War III.
01:44Now you saved the world from World War III, which is good.
01:47While serving in the Kosovo War, Blunt would play the guitar for locals, signaling his
01:51imminent ascension as a world-famous pop star.
01:54You're beautiful, you're beautiful, you're beautiful, it's true.
02:03Number 9.

02:15his last breaths in the Twilight Zone.
02:18The show debuted in October 1959, when Serling was 34 years old.
02:23Sixteen years earlier, he was fresh out of high school and serving in the U.S. Army.
02:26Serling was assigned to the 511th Parachute Infantry Regiment and saw combat in the Philippines
02:31during World War II.

02:39in an Allied victory.
02:40He also served during the Battle of Manila, which lasted one month between February and
02:44March of 1945.
02:46Serling was awarded numerous medals for his service, including the Purple Heart.
02:50Like some goose-stepping predecessors, he searches for something to explain his hunger
02:54and to rationalize why a world passes him by without saluting.
02:58Number 8.

04:20years.
04:21During that time, he saw action as an aerial gunner for a multitude of combat missions.

05:56Brooks hoped to study psychology at Brooklyn College but was drafted into World War II
05:59at the age of 18.
06:00He was placed in the Army and diffused landmines
06:11with the 1104th Engineer Combat Battalion.

07:59video for aerial gunners.
08:00While in England with the 351st Bomb Group, Gable took part in various combat missions
08:05and was nearly killed in action.
