00:00That was very moving.
00:01Welcome to MissMojo, and today we're counting down our picks for the Top 10 Most Emotional
00:06Shark Tank Pitches.
00:15For this list, we'll be looking at the most tear-jerking pitches in the history of the
00:19business reality television series, including international versions.
00:24Which shark do you think will cry the most during these emotional moments?
00:28Let us know in the comments below.
00:30And trust us, the answer will surprise you.
00:34Number 10.
00:36Benjilock Benjilock founder Robby Cabral impresses
00:40the sharks right away with his innovative padlock.
00:43Benjilock is the world's first traditional padlock with fingerprint technology, which
00:48means that not only you can open it with the ease of your fingertips, but also with a set
00:58of traditional keys.
01:00However, his journey to the tank wasn't quite so easy as winning the sharks' attention.
01:05Cabral begins sobbing as he recounts his difficult story of immigration and failure that ultimately
01:10left him disenchanted with the American dream.
01:13Six months into it, I got laid off.
01:17And the day they laid me off, my daughter was born.
01:20Cabral's emotional outburst is a little awkward, since the sharks don't seem all that moved
01:25by his story.
01:27Things get deliciously sharky when Alex Arad Rodriguez and Lori Grenier try to capitalize
01:33on Cabral's emotional nature by speaking to him in Spanish, his first language, for
01:38parts of the negotiation.
01:47In the end though, Cabral surprises everyone, and no one, by listening to his gut rather
01:52than the business talk and teaming up with Mr. Wonderful.
01:579.
01:58Hummingbirds Rebecca Glover and Leah James are the founders
02:02of Hummingbirds, a business dedicated to supporting children with special needs.
02:16Glover and James are good-hearted and sincere, and they quickly win the affection of the
02:21sharks on the Australian iteration of the series.
02:24The mood is somber as the women share stories of struggling to find suitable care for their
02:28children, and shark John McGrath is almost moved to tears in an undeniably touching scene
02:34for all viewers.
02:45McGrath and Steve Baxter both offer deals, but soon agree that Hummingbirds isn't a
02:50business that deserves to be ripped apart in the tank.
02:53They decide to team up and offer a great joint deal, which the Hummingbirds founders
02:58happily accept, making this one of the most feel-good deals in Shark Tank Australia history.
03:158.
03:17Drain Wig The founders of Drain Wig are Jennifer and
03:21Gifford Briggs, who, along with their five daughters, pitch their solution for clogged
03:25shower drains.
03:40As the sharks probe into the history of the company, Jennifer gets emotional and begins
03:44to cry with passion.
03:46She recounts the woes of a bad business deal that nearly crippled their company.
04:02It's impossible not to feel sympathetic for the Briggs, whose relatable business naivety
04:07led to their profits being stolen by a greedy infomercial business.
04:12In the end, it's Kevin O'Leary who swoops in to help the couple heal their company,
04:16and finally see the fruits of their labor.
04:287.
04:31Swipe and Snap Alina Kravchenko makes a delightful entrance
04:36into the Shark Tank with fairy wings to make her pitch, with her mother in tow.
04:48While the tank is all smiles at first, things take a sentimental turn when Kravchenko and
04:53her mother tell the story of her mother's courage and persistence to secure her children
04:58a shot at the American dream.
05:16Viewers then see a rare peek into the shark's personal lives as Robert Herjavec, arguably
05:22the most lovable shark in the tank, gets choked up and shares his father's similar tale
05:27of immigration.
05:36In a classic Shark Tank moment, tears glisten in Robert's eyes as he declares America
05:41one of the greatest countries in the world.
05:446.
05:45Meemaw's Louisiana Gumbo Brick Carol Foster is a quintessential and lovable
05:51Louisiana native who created a frozen gumbo base the sharks go crazy for.
06:02However the sharks smell trouble in the structure of the business and quickly begin dropping
06:06out like flies.
06:08Viewers can't help but feel awful for Foster as she explains that she's homeless and supporting
06:13six of her family members with the income from the business.
06:27Kevin O'Leary, notorious for detesting Kumbaya's sentimentality in business, is shockingly
06:33moved by his sympathy for Foster.
06:36He comes back in and makes a joint deal with Lori Greiner, even sharing a sentimental moment
06:41with Foster after she accepts.
06:50It looks like even Mr. Wonderful himself can be swayed into making a business deal for
06:54the greater good.
06:565.
06:57Crayol Essence The founders of Crayol Essence, couple Stephan
07:02Jean-Baptiste and Yves Car Mamparous are Haitian immigrants whose business capitalizes on a
07:09Haitian beauty secret.
07:21Tears begin to fall as Jean-Baptiste tells of their business's difficult past and its
07:27effects on their romantic relationship.
07:30Then he full on sobs as he shares that his business failures have disappointed and failed
07:35the Haitian community.
07:52It's both heartwarming to see the entrepreneurs care so much about their roots and heartbreaking
07:57to see how deeply the business struggles have impacted Jean-Baptiste.
08:01After the bout of crying, Kevin O'Leary lightens the mood by joking that a royalty
08:05deal would bring a tear to his eye.
08:22Before you know it, the couple accepts a deal from Mr. Wonderful.
08:264.
08:27Circadian Optics Amber Leung's bright and happy pitch for
08:32her light therapy lamps quickly grabs the shark's attention.
08:44But it's her difficult backstory that makes infamously cold-hearted Kevin O'Leary shed
08:48a tear.
08:49Leung shares the details of her poor upbringing in Malaysia and her parents struggle to save
08:54money for her to pursue the American dream.
08:57However, that dream became a nightmare when Leung was left stranded in America with health
09:02complications that gave her a 50% chance of survival.
09:22Leung's determination, optimism and lack of self-pity is truly inspiring.
09:28It's nerve-wracking watching the sharks negotiate the future of her business, but in the end
09:32she gets a generous joint deal with Mark Cuban and Lori Greiner, which includes an extra
09:37$50,000 donation to Leung's parents in Malaysia.
09:533.
09:54Cupboard Pro Right away, it's obvious that Cupboard Pro
09:59isn't like most business in the tank.
10:13Siblings Christian, Kyra and Kaylee Young are not really entrepreneurs, but are instead
10:18carrying on their father's business after his tragic death from cancer, a result of
10:22dangerous search and rescue missions after 9-11.
10:26After a sentimental demo video in which father Keith himself displays the product, the siblings
10:30reveal that they also lost their mother to cancer.
10:45It's impossible not to feel for the Young family, whose strength and persistence moved
10:50the sharks beyond their usual business tactics.
10:53Rather than fighting it out in the tank, all five sharks decide to go in together and
10:58deliver a great deal, which includes donating profits to 9-11 charities.
11:102.
11:12Kronos Golf The founders of Kronos Golf will be remembered
11:15as having one of the most dramatic backstories ever to be shared in a tank.
11:25Co-founder Philip Lapoose is reduced to tears as he reveals the driving force behind his
11:30company.
11:31His fiancée can't come to America unless Kronos Golf takes off, because her traditional
11:35Japanese parents don't approve of the risk of the business.
11:53Viewers are on the edges of their seats waiting to see whether he will secure a deal.
11:57But even Kevin O'Leary, who wipes tears throughout the story of the star-crossed lovers, declares
12:02that he cannot make business deals based on emotion and goes out, along with most of
12:07the other sharks.
12:09Luckily, Robert Herjavec swoops in at the buzzer to give Lapoose the deal he desperately
12:14needs.

12:45Number 1. Under The Weather
12:47Under The Weather is a fitting name for this business, since its pitch will go down as one
12:52of the most heartbreaking moments in Shark Tank history. Founder Rick Pescovitz struggles to
12:57choke back tears as he shares the tragedy that fuels his passion for his company.
13:03Just after sending an email encouraging Pescovitz to pursue Under The Weather,
13:09Pescovitz's brother Mark got into a terrible car accident and tragically passed away,
13:14leaving behind a grieving family.
13:16Once again, it's Kevin O'Leary who has moved to tears, though the other Sharks,
13:21and everyone watching at home, are deeply upset by the story. In a sweet and fateful moment,
13:27Pescovitz ends up accepting a deal from Mark Cuban, who shares a name with his late brother.
13:33He's also a big fan of Shark Tank, and he's been a fan of Shark Tank for a long time.
13:37He's also a big fan of Shark Tank, and he's been a fan of Shark Tank for a long time.
