00:00I'm in Greetham and I'm with Alison in your new venture. It looks fantastic, it looks
00:07interesting. Tell me, how did you come here?
00:09Well, thank you very much. It's Pigeon Post Emporium. It's a lovely little craft shop
00:16for local artists' work, vintage things. I've been a potter for 30 years and I teach now.
00:25I still have my own teaching place in Norton as a studio there, but I decided that this
00:33would be a lovely thing to do for selling people's work. It's a cute little shop, everything
00:39sort of based on sustainability. Everything's been sourced, even the shelving and the pieces
00:47around have all been particularly sourced for the place. I've also got the doll's house
00:54for the window.
00:55I noticed that, it's beautiful, isn't it?
00:57Thank you. It's hopefully going to attract, so that the children can look inside and see
01:03that the little pigeon family are doing something different on different times of the year.
01:08Maybe putting a Christmas tree up at Christmas would be nice. It's just something to bring
01:13to Greetham, a nice place for people to be able to buy gifts. Everything's hopefully
01:19kind of a reasonable price. And yeah, it's my little dream, I suppose.
01:26What's your opening hours? People love that.
01:29Opening Friday to Sunday, 11 till 4. We have a grand opening this Saturday between 12 and
01:371.30, but the shop itself will be open 12 till 4. We even have a pigeon release happening
01:43on the day to give a little bit of something else to the proceedings. We've got a tombola
01:52stall and a coffee van and a lovely young local lad, George Bailey, who's going to be
01:57singing for us. So hopefully that'll be a lovely start to this great venture. It's going
02:04to be a nice addition, I think, to the village.
