00:00Now there's all sorts of reasons you could talk about for him coming back to Leeds.
00:03You can talk about the finances and how you're not going to make a profit on this player
00:13as it stands. Maybe if he absolutely tears up the championship, maybe you could break even
00:19on him and sell him in a year's time. Maybe if he shows enough and shows that maybe he might
00:23be worth persisting with, maybe some point down the line you make a profit. But as it stands right
00:28now you're not getting £15 million for him. I dare say you might not get £10 million for him
00:34right now. So it makes no sense to sell because you'd be booking a loss and having not gone up
00:40into the Premier League you just cannot afford to book a loss right now. He's also, and I've
00:45confirmed this, coming back is basically him taking the wage that was on offer last summer,
00:53the wage reduction that was built into his contract. So he's certainly not getting paid
00:57anywhere near what he was paid as a Premier League player at Leeds and he's evidently willing
01:02to take that hit. I think the biggest and most interesting thing for me, other than the fact
01:09that Farka looks at him and thinks, yeah I can find a place for him in my team, maybe as a narrow
01:14winger on the right, maybe as a ten, I don't think I could see him playing the eight role for Farka.
01:21But it's the fact that Aronson himself is signing up for it. Now you can debate until the guys come
01:28home whether it's all spin that he had options elsewhere and every club says that they've
01:33beaten other clubs to somebody's signature, they say that player X has turned down bigger, more
01:39lucrative deals elsewhere to come and do this because he just wants to play for Leeds out of
01:42the goodness of his heart. But Aronson knows that he's going to take a degree of pelters
01:49and in possession of all that knowledge he's decided, no you know what, I want to come back.
