00:45A Chesterfield Primary School has been left disappointed after its Ofsted rating was downgraded
00:50but staff say they are working hard to improve.
00:53In an Ofsted report published this week, Hunlock Primary School at Lodge Drive in Wingerwith
00:57was given an overall rating of Requires Improvement.
01:01It is a downgrade for the primary which has 276 pupils on its role as the school has never
01:06been rated lower than good in its history.
01:09Commenting on the report findings, Jenny Murphy, who is Headteacher at the school said,
01:13During their visit, the Ofsted inspectors found a great deal to celebrate.
01:17We were judged good in three areas, however we are disappointed the inspectors gave us
01:22Requires Improvement in two areas.
01:24As a school, we welcome advice and act quickly on any we receive.
01:28Hunlock Park is a great school, offering an all-round education to our children who are
01:32happy here and learn well.
01:34We will continue to work tirelessly to develop our school, including the areas of concern
01:39which have been highlighted in the report.
