A fire burns overnight through a forest in the Maures massif in the Var region of France. Fanned by strong winds, it has already burned 600 hectares, the first major blaze in southern France this year despite the deployment of hundreds of firefighters.

00:00Tomorrow morning, 5 o'clock.
00:02Yes.
00:03Otherwise, at the moment, there are groups that are fighting.
00:08Wait, wait, wait.
00:30Indeed, it is not common to make fires of 600 hectares so early in the season,
00:35even though we had some bad years.
00:38But this afternoon, we realized that we finally had wind,
00:41high temperatures and very low hygrometry,
00:46which are really important propagation factors for fires.
00:51So now we are doing everything to stop it, especially in the head,
00:54and to prevent it from passing us on certain strategic sectors.
01:00Thank you very much.
