00:00 The clue is in the question, you know, pubs and the name, the pubs are public places and
00:04 they're one of our few public places that are still left open, where people from all
00:09 walks of life can come together and rub shoulders, you know, everyone's equal and it allows us
00:15 to connect with friends, family and neighbours.
00:18 And we're saying they play a vital role socially, helping social isolation, loneliness, you
00:23 know, we saw a lot of people where the pub was a lifeline for them in COVID times when
00:28 it was shut, you know, having to stay at home without friends and family to connect to.
00:33 And we're saying recognise the overall wellness that a pub can bring to the UK and social
00:39 sort of wellness and recognise that and invest in them.
00:43 We're not, you know, fully recovered.
00:45 So although we might think we're back to normal, many pubs, many breweries are still operating
00:49 at less than 90% of their sort of pre pandemic sort of trading levels.
00:54 And on top of that, we've got a lot of cost inflation, a lot of additional costs that
00:59 are increasing.
