The Ant and the Dove

"The Ant and the Dove" is a classic fable attributed to Aesop. It tells the story of an ant and a dove who become unlikely friends. When the ant falls into a stream and is in danger of drowning, the dove comes to its rescue by dropping a leaf into the water for the ant to climb onto. Later, when a hunter tries to trap the dove with a net, the ant comes to its aid by biting the hunter, causing him to drop the net. The story teaches the lesson that kindness is often repaid, even by the smallest creatures.
