The fox and the crow

  • last month
"The Fox and the Crow" is a classic fable attributed to Aesop, with various versions found in different cultures. In the story, a crow finds a piece of cheese and settles on a branch to eat it. A sly fox, noticing the cheese, flatters the crow, praising its beauty and voice. The crow, tempted by the compliments, opens its beak to caw in pride, dropping the cheese which the fox then grabs and eats. The moral of the story teaches us to beware of flattery and not to let our guard down to manipulative praise.
