00:06The LPA's effect is also felt in some provinces in Mindanao.

00:17The road to Sen. Ninoy Aquino's house in Sultan Kudarat was flooded

00:22following a heavy rain.

00:24Because of this, the road to the hospital was temporarily blocked.

00:29The rice plants were also submerged in the water.

00:32When the rain intensified, the road was flooded again.

00:38The visibility in the city of Cotabato was zeroed

00:42because of the thick fog and heavy rain.

00:45That's why the motorists were forced to drive slowly on the Cotabato-Davao Highway.

00:52This road was also flooded in Cebu City.

00:54The garbage was piled up.

00:57But there were other motorists who were forced to drive in spite of the flood.

01:01The local government has been pointing out the problem of the flood for a long time.

01:06The spillway in Tejero City, Lipa City, is slowly being repaired

01:11because the ground below it has already collapsed.

01:14According to the barangay officials in Pinagkawitan,

01:17the ground is getting softer because of the rain.

01:20The motorists and residents are worried about the danger it will bring.

01:24It could be an accident. It could happen to us.

01:28It could suddenly collapse.

01:31For now, they are not allowing heavy vehicles to pass through.

01:34There is a road on the other side, in Purukdus.

01:37They will turn there.

01:39But the motorists wanted to build the road.

01:42The City Engineer's Office saw it and according to them,

01:45they will do a total reconstruction of the spillway.

01:48We cannot do regular maintenance.

01:51As of now, we are preparing to make a program.

01:54For now, the culverts will just re-align the spillway so that the water can flow.
