00:00They have a hype machine here with this football team.
00:05If you look at their win total of nine, to have a winning record in a rebuild, and I
00:10know they've got the quarterback, but the roster they inherited isn't very good.
00:13So they're kind of rebuilding that roster.
00:15He's plus 550, Matt LaFleur plus 800, the Packers head coach, Raheem Morris plus 1000.
00:21Now Scott and I, we've talked about this on Sports Grid.
00:25The Falcons are picked by oddsmakers to win that NFC South to me.
00:29I still think it's the Bucs, but a lot of people like Raheem Morris and the Falcons this season.
00:33My pick are the Houston Texans.
00:35Remember Kevin Stefanski won it last year.
00:38He's actually won it two out of his four years.
00:39He's now in year five.
00:40He just got a contract extension last week.
00:42But when you look at D'Amico Ryan's, he's plus 1400.
00:46Scott, those are great odds.
00:47That to me is the best odds.
00:49If you look at it, potentially winning it.
00:51With their turnaround last season, which was really historic, it was incredible.
00:55They came from out of nowhere.
00:57Oddsmakers gave him four and a half to five wins.
00:59And obviously they wound up winning that division.
01:01The Houston Texans led D'Amico Ryan's there.
01:05I absolutely love them and him at plus 1400.
01:09And how about Mike Tomlin, who's never won, by the way, the AP Coach of the Year.
01:12He's plus 2800.
01:13And you notice almost always, not always, but almost always,
01:17the coaches who win it are the teams that either the oddsmakers don't expect,
01:22or there's not a lot of hype for, who exceed expectations.
01:25Again, when you look at it, Kevin Stefanski is,
01:29in two out of his four years, is one coach of the year.
01:32You look at Mike Tomlin, he's never won it.
01:34Now, they've had expectations every year because they're always good.
01:36He's plus 2800.
01:38Mike McDaniel, the head coach of the Dolphins.
01:39By the way, there should be some pressure on him to win the season.
01:42He's plus 2000.
01:44One that I kind of like, now he's always been good, is the Rams there,
01:48and Sean McVeigh, plus 1800.
01:50With the Aaron Donald retirement, they overachieved last year, by the way.
01:53But they still have Matthew Stafford and a fantastic offense.
01:56They have a new defensive coordinator, so
01:58things are going to change a little bit.
01:59Because Raheem Morris is now the head coach of the Falcons.
02:02But Sean McVeigh always exceeds expectations.
02:05What about our boy dental floss, Matt Eberflus in Chicago?
02:10They've already given them the hype machine.
02:12They've given him hard knocks.
02:14They got the number one pick in the draft.
02:16Everyone thinks the Bears are going to have a great season and shock the world.
02:21Would it be past him to win it?
02:24See, I don't see him winning it.
02:26Now, he's got the same odds, believe it or not.
02:28It's D'Amico Ryan's at plus 1400.
02:30I get it.
02:31There's a hype machine with Caleb Williams, the first pick overall.
02:34No question, they've added a ton of offensive talent, competitive defense.
02:39They're not a playoff team to me in the NFC,
02:40which is going to be very, very competitive.
02:42They're going to be somewhere at eight or nine wins.
02:44Will that be good enough to get him the coach of the year?
02:46There's only one per year, not two or three.
02:48I don't do it by conference.
02:49I only do one.
02:50He's not going to get it.
02:51Again, D'Amico Ryan's at plus 1400.
02:54Same odds as Matt Iverfloos.
02:55I don't see that.
02:56D'Amico Ryan's is going to get it.
02:57He's got a great chance to get it.
