00:00As Russia's invasion of Ukraine approaches the two-and-a-half-year mark,
00:03and Kiev continues to bolster its relationship with the West, Vladimir Putin is doing so with
00:09the East. Moscow has begun consolidating powers on the Asian continent, strengthening ties both
00:14economically and militarily with the likes of China. However, Vladimir Putin also seems
00:19determined to do the same with North Korea, and now reports indicate he might be traveling there
00:24soon. According to the Russian Vedomosti newspaper, Putin will visit the DPRK soon,
00:29citing Russia's ambassador to North Korea. Part of the visit will be to determine whether
00:33Russia will bring migrant workers from the Korean peninsula, as the war in Ukraine is
00:37straining their labor force. That's because hundreds of thousands of men were conscripted
00:42to fight abroad. Meanwhile, many more thousands fled as to not be involved in Putin's war.
00:47This comes after Kim Jong-un traveled to Russia last fall, where the pair discussed space at the
00:52Vostokny Space Launch Center. At the time, Putin made promises to help the Kim regime build and
00:57launch satellites, something they have since done recently. In return, it is suspected that
01:01North Korea provided military weaponry to Russia's dwindling supply in Ukraine.
