00:06I bring you some news about one of the best-known business names in Yorkshire.
00:10Seabrook Crisps, which is owned by the Japanese snack giant Calbee,
00:15is in the middle of a £12 million factory extension at its 10-acre site on Duncombe Street in Bradford.
00:22The building, which is due to open in September, will enable the company to produce an extra 100 tonnes of crisps a week.
00:28The factory, which produces 2,000 bags of crisps a minute, is at capacity
00:33and is in operation for 24 hours a day, six days a week, to meet demand.
00:39Seabrook produces its own crinkle-cut crisps,
00:42but 30% of its capacity is given over to producing own-label straight-cut crisps for Asda and Aldi.
00:50So an update there about one of the best-known names in business in Yorkshire undergoing expansion.
