00:10In the ocean of Pangasinan, there's a secret.

00:13It's been 80 years since the discovery of the missing submarine of the U.S.

00:19which was used, sunk, and found since World War II.

00:23On the occasion of World War II, there's a submarine or navy of the U.S.

00:35which was used by the enemy.

00:37The USS Harder.

00:39It's one of the most decorated and famous submarines

00:42because it was sunk by more than 15 Japanese vessels, 5 destroyers.

00:47But on the 6th and last day of its war patrol on August 1944,

00:52it was hit by depth charges of a Japanese escort ship.

00:55It was hit by the USS Harder.

00:57On January 2, 1945, it was presumed lost.

01:00Until recently, the History and Heritage Command of the U.S. Navy

01:04declared that the wreck or submarine found in the heart of the West Philippine Sea

01:08was almost 8 decades old.

01:10It was found off Dazzle Bay in Pangasinan, 1,140 meters below sea level.

01:16The wreck of the USS Harder was located using data collected

01:19from the expedition of the Lost 52 Project group in Pangasinan last year.

01:24They reached out to the National Museum.

01:26We collaborated with them.

01:27There was a survey using AUVs, Automated Underwater Vehicles, and ROVs,

01:32or Remote Operated Vehicles.

01:34On December 3, 2023, it was found.

01:37This discovery is very important because it's an active historical period.

01:41It means that those who died in the past still have family members.
