00:00 You're getting some new love actually now that my life on the D-list is streaming on Peacock.
00:05 Oh my gosh, I'm so excited. I want everyone to binge it and fall in love with my mom and dad all over again.
00:10 Everybody's talking about your figure, how great it is.
00:14 And?
00:15 And so you have to kind of go easy on them, okay?
00:18 [laughing]
00:19 I'm really glad it's on. I'm proud of it.
00:21 I saw that you didn't know that that was happening.
00:23 I didn't know I had no clue.
00:25 And so I just, I think somebody texted me and I turned it on to double check.
00:31 And I'm like, well is it just one episode or one season? All six seasons.
00:34 There's so many queens out there who are excited that they don't have to keep putting up the DVD, you know?
00:39 Like now they can put it back on the show.
00:41 Finally just stream it on Peacock, make it easy.
00:43 For new audiences finding you, what do you hope that they learn about you through this reality show?
00:47 Well, I did a show called My Life on the D-list and what I want you to learn is that that show is really real.
00:53 Thank you for your interest in receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
00:57 Unfortunately, while you were nominated by Bravo, you were ultimately not approved.
01:03 What?
01:04 What?
01:05 A lot of shows that came after it are what they call soft scripted.
01:09 And so, you know, The Hills. I mean, I love those shows. They're fun.
01:13 Even some of the, you know, Bravo stuff.
01:15 It's possible the Kardashians, I mean dare I say.
01:19 How dare you?
01:20 How dare, I'm too afraid of Kris Jenner to even make that joke.
01:23 But no, I'm proud of the D-list because it was really real and I think it was kind of a time capsule.
01:28 And the 2000s are having this resurgence now.
01:31 So that show will take you right back to that time.
01:34 I mean, what a night.
01:37 The legends are here. Jane and Lily are in the, first of all, is there anything better than those ladies together?
01:44 No.
01:45 Their rapport is so natural and real and I love both of them.
01:49 And I've known them both a very long time.
01:52 And I'm here to see this documentary, which I keep hearing such great things about.
01:56 It's so important that women realize that they're seen.
02:00 My lord, it's 40 years now and it's still important.
02:03 Well, we've got so much more to do.
02:06 It's amazing that this documentary exists because it's documenting the social impact that this movie has.
02:11 It's kind of crazy that 40 years later, the message still resonates more than ever, don't you think?
02:14 It sure does. And look, we still have a lot of sexism to deal with and ageism.
02:19 And this movie, 9 to 5, was so far ahead of its time.
02:22 You gave that promotion to Bob Enright instead of me?
02:25 I've got five years seniority over him.
02:27 I know that.
02:28 For Christ's sake, I trained him.
02:30 And what was so smart about what the ladies did is they really made it a comedy, but they got in some good messaging anyway.
02:36 So we were laughing, learning, all of it. It has all the things.
02:39 I feel like that's been Jane and Lily's kind of M.O. in this business all along.
02:43 Secretly making sure that there's the important social commentary happening.
02:47 Grace and Frankie. It's like we were not used to seeing people that age have those kind of conversations,
02:52 and yet we fell in love with them and we were learning and laughing.
