00:00I had the opportunity to give the commencement address at my alma mater, Miami of Ohio.
00:04The advice I offered up to those college graduates was just a couple simple things, you know.
00:11You have to be a person that believes in yourself, believes in others.
00:14You have to be a person that's a doer.
00:16You have to be a person that understands our country, what it provides.
00:21And if you understand the history of America,
00:24I think if you understand what democracy is in America,
00:27I think you have the ability then to defend and grow this country and do even,
00:30you know, greater things than what the opportunities are that are presented today.
00:34I recommend to these folks, like, be a friend.
00:37You know, take the time to invest in relationships.
00:39I think those friendships last forever.
00:41And, you know, when people need you to celebrate a success or,
00:45unfortunately, need a shoulder to deal with some tragedy,
00:49you'll really appreciate having those relationships.
