00:05 Hello, I'm Paul Peacock, Leader of the Newcastle Shore District Council.
00:08 I'm over here in Ollotton today just to give you an update on where we are with the Leveling Up Fund for Ollotton and Clipston.
00:15 We've been given the green light to go to the next stage, so we're ready to spend the £20 million in our communities.
00:22 This news brings us one step closer to delivering some fantastic projects.
00:26 I thought this would be a great opportunity to share those with you.
00:29 So, over here in Ollotton, we've got great plans to transform the town centre, making use of what once was a factory, the land that the factory sat on.
00:39 The idea is that we bring people into the town centre and they dwell here, so we're going to be putting together, in the development, a library, a new cinema,
00:47 there'll be some residential units and there'll also be plenty of retail for businesses to use.
00:53 It's a similar story in Clipston. The Newcastle Shore District Council have already committed themselves to a multi-million pound project on the Clipston Holding Centre,
01:01 which will fund a state-of-the-art, sustainable industrial area, bringing jobs and economic development back to the community.
01:07 So, over in Clipston, there'll also be improved sporting and leisure facilities with the regeneration of liquid water, again adding real benefit to the community.
