00:43Ashley is also proud that their film is the only Filipino film

00:49First acting award, and what made it special,

00:52abroad, in New York,

00:54it's so fulfilling that all our hard work paid off

00:58because our film was recognized, the Filipino film,

01:01and of course, my craft as an actress.

01:06Ashley was even more inspired to improve her craft as an actor.

01:22where she will act as a comfort woman.

01:25This is the character that I really take it seriously

01:28and do my research about it

01:30because it really happened in the past,

01:33it's part of our history,

01:35and I was able to interview real comfort women.

01:39She's very sensitive,

01:41so I don't want to make a mistake.
