00:00 The Philippine Coast Guard asked for support from a group of businessmen from Europe,

00:05 in the West Philippine Sea.

00:11 In front of various business chambers in Europe,

00:15 particularly German, Dutch, French, and Nordic Chamber of Commerce,

00:20 the Philippine Coast Guard asked for support from the spokesperson to the West Philippine Sea, Commodore J. Tariella.

00:26 In the midst of the ongoing tension between the Philippines and China.

00:30 We are a small country.

00:32 Our voice is so tiny.

00:34 But for the countries that are bigger than them, combined,

00:38 we believe that the G7 countries can make China fall in line.

00:44 What is next after transparency is that more countries having collective action

00:50 to tell China that what you are doing is something that we're not going to support.

00:56 It is something that we're going to condemn.

00:58 President Bombong Marcos repeatedly said that we will never give up

01:04 a inch of our territory to anyone.

01:08 So according to Commodore Tariella,

01:10 to continue to protect our sovereignty.

01:13 We want the Filipino voters to make sure that those people that they are going to elect

01:21 in Congress, whether in Senate or in the House of Representatives,

01:26 are those lawmakers that would support our fight for the West Philippine Sea.

01:33 That is why it is important for the youth to be taught about the real situation in the West Philippine Sea.

01:38 Commodore Tariella believes that the fear of China that they are arresting

01:44 is the reason why they are trying to trespass their territory.

01:47 They said that it was just a coincidence because of the headache that was pushed upon them

01:51 that their sister was able to successfully complete her mission in the West Philippine Sea

01:57 and because of the fear that the civil society groups that followed their footsteps will be added.

02:02 It caused so much panic that they even had to deploy more than 50 vessels.

02:08 They deployed the biggest number of Chinese Coast Guard vessels in our record.

02:15 11 Chinese Coast Guard vessels deployed in Bajo de Macigno,

02:19 30 Chinese maritime militia, 2 PLA Navy warships,

02:23 because it's something new for them.

02:27 They don't even know how they are going to respond to a civil society.
