00:00 "They're my teachers and they're really smart."
00:01 "I've never heard of them."
00:03 Welcome to Ms. Mojo, and today we're counting down our picks for the unresolved threads from
00:08 The Big Bang Theory and Young Sheldon that we'd still like to see tied up.
00:13 If you're not caught up on either series, this is your spoiler warning.
00:17 "Why aren't you returning my phone calls?"
00:19 "You're supposed to be the smart one. You figure it out."
00:21 Number 10.
00:24 When did Tam say he'd move to Caltech?
00:27 In The Big Bang Theory, we meet Tam, Sheldon's high school best friend.
00:32 We learn that the pair had a falling out. Well, at least Sheldon believes they did.
00:36 "You know what you did."
00:37 "Let me catch you up. He does not."
00:40 "When I moved to California, what did you do?"
00:45 "I stayed in Texas."
00:46 "The P.F. believed this guy."
00:48 According to him, Tam had agreed to move to Pasadena,
00:53 but then backed out to stay in Texas with his girlfriend.
00:56 Yet Young Sheldon tells a different story.
00:59 In that version, Sheldon barely lets Tam talk, and doesn't seem interested in his life.
01:05 There's also no talk of moving to California.
01:07 "So how have you been?"
01:08 "Good. I actually have a girlfriend now and-"
01:11 "I've had a pretty rough time of it lately. I'm about to go away to Caltech
01:14 and my parents decided to sell our home and move to Houston.
01:16 I mean, that house has my room in it."
01:18 Now, it seems unlikely that Sheldon misremembered this encounter.
01:21 So did it happen off screen?
01:23 Or did Sheldon maybe dream up the whole exchange during a lonely night
01:27 after he moved to Caltech?
01:29 "I think I might ask her to marry me."
01:30 "A fine man in hindsight had been on those walls for five years,
01:32 and now it's gonna be Tigger bouncing hither and thither?"
01:34 "Are you at all interested in my life?"
01:37 "No, but thank you for asking."
01:38 Number nine. Why was Sheldon writing his memoir?
01:42 Sheldon has always been sure he'd be destined for the kind of greatness that demanded a memoir.
01:47 "I won't forget your contributions."
01:48 "Grace."
01:50 "And of course I can't mention you in my Nobel acceptance speech,
01:53 but when I get around to writing my memoirs,
01:55 you can expect a very effusive footnote and perhaps a signed copy."
01:58 So it's hardly surprising that many of us suspected that young Sheldon was said memoir in the making.
02:03 And we were right.
02:05 "Don't read over my shoulder."
02:06 "Well, are you writing your memoir or a fantasy novel?"
02:09 "For your information, the word memoir comes from memory, and these memories are mine."
02:15 It was a great device to show audiences how Sheldon's perspective on life has
02:19 changed with age and experience. However, we still have one question.
02:23 Why did he start writing his memoir in the first place? Did he just decide it was time?
02:28 Or did he truly become the goat of the science world,
02:31 with publishers desperate to get their hands on his life story?
02:34 Either way, it was the perfect way to frame the series.
02:38 "That must have been great, having parents who supported you despite all your differences."
02:43 "Oh, yes. Looking back, that was, that was the ultimate gift."
02:49 Number 8. Where's Veronica?
02:51 When we first meet Veronica Duncan, she's a rebellious teen whom Georgie has a crush on,
02:57 and Sheldon is tutoring.
02:58 "I'm tutoring her in trigonometry."
03:00 "And that get you hugs?"
03:02 "Thanks to me, she got her first C-. Just between us, she's a little slow."
03:07 "That's not what I heard."
03:08 Veronica has a change of heart after visiting the church's Halloween
03:12 heck house and decides to lead a Christian life,
03:15 though that doesn't stop Georgie from pursuing her.
03:18 They become friends, and it even seems like there might be something more between them.
03:22 But as Georgie moves on, Veronica essentially disappears,
03:26 never to be seen or heard from again.
03:28 "I didn't know you worked here."
03:29 "Well, haven't seen you in a while."
03:31 "Oh, you know Janet from school?"
03:34 "Yeah, yeah, of course. Hi."
03:36 "Hi."
03:38 Maybe she earned enough money to go to college like she wanted.
03:41 Narrator Sheldon tells us she devoted her life to her faith and helping others,
03:45 so maybe she moved out of town to do that?
03:48 She went on to live a life devoted to God, feeding the poor,
03:51 even helping her sister start a literacy program for female prisoners.
03:56 Number 7. Does Mary Keep In Touch With Pastor Rob?
03:59 When we last saw Pastor Rob, he was weighing up a new opportunity in Arkansas.
04:04 "So you might stay?"
04:06 "Well, it's a good opportunity, bigger congregation, but I miss the kids and friends."
04:15 Since he didn't come back for the final season, we can only assume that he decided to go for it.
04:20 At first, he and Mary don't get off on the right foot, but they soon become good friends.
04:25 And there's definitely some palpable tension between them.
04:28 So did they stay friends after he moved?
04:31 Was he there for her after George passed away?
04:33 Did they perhaps grow even closer?
04:35 "What's going on here?"
04:37 "Uh, Brian. We're Brian."
04:39 "Just Brian."
04:40 In The Big Bang Theory, we learn that Mary is open to finding a new partner.
04:44 "Doesn't this contradict all the religious rules you've been espousing your whole life?"
04:48 "You're right, it does. And it's something that I'm struggling with these days."
04:52 "Then why are you doing it?"
04:54 "Because I'm not perfect, Shelley. And that man's booty is."
04:59 So we have to wonder, was that partner ever Pastor Rob?
05:05 Number 6. How Did Young Sheldon Connie Become The Big Bang Theory Connie?
05:11 Many fans of Big Bang and Young Sheldon have noted the stark contrast in the portrayal of
05:16 Sheldon's Meemaw between the two series. Season 7 of the prequel really puts her through the ringer,
05:22 with her losing her home and job, and even getting tangled up with the law.
05:26 On top of that, she also has to take care of her grieving family.
05:30 "She's pushing away her children just when they need her the most."
05:33 "Other than being there for them, what else can you do?"
05:36 "I don't know."
05:39 Is it possible that after all that misfortune,
05:42 she took a page out of her daughter's book and found solace in the church?
05:45 Also, did her relationship with Dale survive at all?
05:48 We need to know what made Connie change so drastically.
05:51 We all know how her Moon Pie feels about change.
05:54 "Isn't that the best one? She's like Grandma Spider-Man."
05:57 "He's been saying that since he was little. I still don't know what it means."
06:03 Number 5. What Happened to Doctors John Sturgis and Linkletter?
06:09 You know those teachers who had a profound impact on you growing up?
06:12 "Dr. Linkletter and Dr. Sturgis never mentioned 26 Dimensions?"
06:15 "Who are they?"
06:16 "They're my teachers, and they're really smart."
06:18 "I've never heard of them."
06:19 Surely you've mentioned them at least once or twice in adulthood, right?
06:23 Well, not Sheldon. Dr. Sturgis has been an invaluable mentor to Sheldon
06:28 throughout most of the series.
06:29 "Well, just so we're clear, he's my mentor, he's my Meemaw's boyfriend,
06:33 and he had spaghetti and hot dogs at my house."
06:36 Meanwhile, Dr. Linkletter grew to tolerate him and even supported him later on.
06:41 Yet they don't even get so much as a mention in the Parents series.
06:44 We know Sheldon doesn't like to share credit, but even he can't deny their impact on his life.
06:49 "You deserve the best education possible."
06:51 "You're gonna do great things, Sheldon.
06:54 And we're proud to have been a small part of your journey."
06:59 So what's the deal there? Sheldon once says that all the men he looks up to eventually leave him.
07:04 We sure hope that isn't our answer here.
07:07 "It's like all the men I've looked up to have gone away."
07:09 Number 4. What are the rest of the Big Bang Theory gang up to?
07:13 In the series finale, we catch up with Sheldon and Amy, now suburban parents to two kids,
07:19 Leonard and an unnamed daughter.
07:21 We were eager for updates on the rest of their gang,
07:24 but all we get is that Penny has babysat for them.
07:27 "And by the way, your daughter wants to take acting classes."
07:29 "I told you we never should have let Penny babysit."
07:33 What about Leonard and their child, or children? Did Raj find his rom-com love story?
07:39 We know Sheldon and Howard are still in touch thanks to a past voice cameo,
07:43 but what about the rest of the Rostenkowski-Wolowitzes?
07:46 "Some consider it the single most important field of study-
07:49 Okay, stop. I'm sorry, Howard, I can't do this."
07:53 "You asked me to write you an introduction to engineering."
07:55 "Yes, and if I wanted a comedy routine, I'd have gone to Billy Crystal."
07:58 Also, how's Stuart? It's no wonder rumors like Leonard's fate started swirling.
08:03 Even if we couldn't have a full cast reunion,
08:06 any insights on everyone's current lives would have been nice, don't you think?
08:10 "Let's all promise to meet in front of this building exactly 20 years from tonight at 8pm
08:14 and have dinner like we always do."
08:16 "Aww, I love it."
08:17 "I'm putting it in my phone right now."
08:19 "Yeah, me too."
08:20 Number 3. What are Missy's next steps?
08:24 In The Big Bang Theory, we learn Missy is a hostess at Fuddruckers,
08:28 has been through a divorce, and is separated from her second husband.
08:32 "He stayed home to watch their older son, so everything's fine."
08:36 "Stop it. We're separated."
08:40 "You don't say."
08:44 Now back to young Sheldon. Missy might not have Sheldon's smarts,
08:47 but she's highly intelligent in other ways, and has ample potential for a bright future.
08:52 "You are an insightful young lady."
08:55 "I don't know what that means, but thank you."
08:57 "It means perceptive. You see things most people miss."
09:02 "My name is Missy. Go figure."
09:04 However, her rebellious nature, coupled with the impact of George's passing,
09:08 seems to weigh heavily on her.
09:09 Missy's often shown stepping up for her family,
09:12 but Georgie implies she was of no help after their father died.
09:16 With one brother set to thrive in the tire industry,
09:19 and another on the path to a Nobel, what lies ahead for Missy?
09:23 And is she at the very least happy?
09:25 "When I grow up, will I be a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader?
09:29 Not likely. Darn it."
09:31 Number 2. When did Georgie and Sheldon's rift begin?
09:35 We know that at some point after George dies and Sheldon moves to Pasadena,
09:40 he and Georgie stop talking.
09:41 "We haven't talked in over ten years. Now that you need something,
09:45 you think you can just show up at my store?
09:47 Well let's just drop everything to accommodate Sheldon!"
09:50 Heck, Sheldon never even mentions his niece.
09:52 Sure, they weren't exactly best bros, but Georgie did look out for him now and then.
09:57 However, as we learn, Georgie was left to pick up the pieces of their grieving family
10:02 after Sheldon started Caltech.
10:04 "You went away to college after dad died. Who do you think took care of everything?"
10:07 "Mom did. Mom always took care of everything."
10:10 "Mom was a miss. Missy was a dumb teenager. I had to look after both of them."
10:16 Now, that falls just outside the young Sheldon timeline,
10:19 but we're still curious about what really went down between them.
10:23 Did they have some huge blowout, or did Georgie just silently stew
10:27 while Sheldon carried on, clueless as always?
10:30 "I know life has been hard for you, but that don't mean it's been easy for the rest of us."
10:35 "I suppose I didn't think about how it was for everyone else."
10:41 "No, that's alright. I know you didn't."
10:45 We hope the new spinoff, Georgie and Mandy's First Marriage, will clear things up.

11:05 Number 1. What Happened to Paige?
11:10 In season 2, we're introduced to Paige, another child genius who may be even smarter than Sheldon.
11:16 "Um, I am."
11:18 "If that was true, then how come my pizza's still in my stomach and yours is in the fountain?"
11:21 "What good is being smart if you're all alone?"
11:25 Sadly, her parents' divorce takes its toll, sending her down a tough road.
11:30 While Sheldon thrives in college, Paige feels pretty alone. The last time we see her,
11:35 she's run off with Missy in George's truck.
11:37 "I'm only 13, I stole my dad's truck, and we didn't pay for breakfast at the diner, we just left."
11:41 "Okay, and who is this?"
11:44 "My cousin, Ginger."
11:47 Unfortunately, McKenna Grace's schedule meant she couldn't return for the final season.
11:52 Plus, showrunner Steve Holland said they felt Paige's story was complete.
11:56 While the fans beg to differ, we want to know what happened to her. Did she find
12:00 her place in the world? Is she happy? Really, we just need someone to tell us she's okay.
12:05 "So what name are you gonna pick?"
12:06 "I'm thinking Ginger."
12:08 "That is so good."
12:10 "Ginger's not a boring scientist. Ginger's fun. She's alive."
12:14 Are there any unanswered questions you wish had been addressed? Let us know in the comments.
12:19 "Answers are all well and good, but a real scientist loves the thrill of the chase."
