00:10 lists of hazards, lists of things to watch out, is Peacock's on the list?
00:13 Peacock's on the side yeah.
00:14 What's the story? How long has he been here? El Pedro isn't it we're calling him?
00:18 Yes he's been here three years.
00:20 So he's been here three years you were saying and there was two wasn't there at one point?
00:25 There was two up until last year and the one went on his travels, didn't come back.
00:32 Pedro here, he's been here three years.
00:34 And he's not that, he hangs around here, we're not far from the canteen so he has a little treat now
00:40 and again and you even feed him some mealworms is that right?
00:44 Mealworms yeah, mealworms and corn and yeah and peanuts.
00:48 What's his fave then? It's got to be the mealworms.
00:51 Is it the mealworms, the dearest one?
00:54 And what you know just they say like don't they having it when you get to a pub but
00:58 having a dog in the pub or sometimes they take animals to a care home it's just good for people.
01:03 What's the general vibe of staff and students having him on site?
01:07 Oh superb honestly they all take selfies with him.
01:11 Yeah.
01:12 Yeah especially during the open days when we have visitors on campus.
01:17 They're all amazed that we've got a peacock on campus.
01:19 He does leave a little bit of muck doesn't he? I've seen it.
01:24 He keeps the caretakers busy.
01:25 Yeah yeah and is the thinking maybe it might be nice to have a lady peacock back one day?
01:31 Yeah lovely yes I would like to see some little ones running around as well.
01:36 That would be nice wouldn't it yeah and we're not too sure where he come from but
01:39 there was some thinking there used to be a banquet suite nearby and they used to have
01:43 some peacocks I mean not sure is that the thinking?
01:45 That's the thinking pre-covid yeah there was a banqueting place across the motorway.
01:50 Yeah.
01:51 We think they've come across from the motorway side.
01:53 No way.
01:54 Yeah.
01:54 Does he get an honorary degree if you see him much longer?
01:57 He will do yeah, he'll be wearing the gown.
01:59 Wearing the gown yeah he's performing for us look isn't he?
02:03 He's after them mealworms that you would normally bring him.
02:05 Yeah.
02:06 Well thanks ever so much Mark.
02:07 Thank you.
02:08 Hello sir what's your name?
02:09 My name is Woggy's John.
02:11 How you doing, are you a student here?
02:13 Yes I am.
02:14 So on a uni campus you expect to see lecturers, lessons, not necessarily peacocks that have met.
02:20 No really no.
02:21 So he's been here a few years apparently, do you kind of notice him when you're out and about?
02:25 Yes yes when we first came here.
02:27 Yeah and he makes himself known he's quite loud isn't he at times?
02:32 He is, sometimes he stands in the corridor and stops everybody.
02:36 In the corridor of the building?
02:37 Yeah.
02:38 Cheeky little thing, so he actually comes inside the building?
02:40 Yeah yeah.
02:41 No way and what I guess what's the general feeling amongst staff and students is it just quite a nice?
02:46 It's beautiful it's nice people you know people will stand and take pictures and stuff it's really good.
02:51 You don't see that very normally anywhere else isn't it?
02:53 Perhaps he should have a special honorary degree if he's here.
