Brookside (Dec 7th 1982)

As Christmas approaches for the Merseysiders, Bobby Grant is leading the line for the pickets in a strike outside their factory as tensions begin to build. His wife Sheila also feels the brunt of some of her customers who are feeling the pinch due to the strike. Meanwhile Roger Huntington, feeling nervous about the upcoming visit to the doctors with wife Heather over their trouble conceiving, decides to take his resentment out by reporting neighbour Gavin Taylor to the authorities, who receives a surprise visit by the council over a batch of illegally acquired cookers.

Starring Ricky Tomlinson, Sue Johnstone, Amanda Burton, Rob Spendlove, Danny Webb, Alexandra Pigg, Shelagh O'Hara, Simon O'Brien, Syd Newman, Barbara Waddington, Stuart Richman, Valerie Griifiths, Tony Newbury, Christopher Wild, Tom Branch, John Carr, Jeanette Dobson, David Elmsfield, Peter Holmes, Ian Alexander and Helen Murphy. This is a random soap episode I found on the end of a old video tape that I thought some people might like to see. It's from the very early days of Brookside and from searching about have discovered it was originally broadcast on December 7th 1982. This is clearly a repeat from a Sky channel, and has a host of Before They Were Famous faces in the cast, including Ricky Tomlinson and Sue Johnstone, Amanda Burton and Danny Webb. Although I've never seen the soap myself, I thought there might be some fans of this looking out for it. Enjoy - or at the very least, watch with fascination.
