00:00 We talk about exes and whatever and you fall out with exes and whatever,
00:04 but there is a very thin divide line between hate and love, isn't there?
00:08 Yeah, well they say that it's on the same spectrum, don't they?
00:11 And obviously I think you can, but we were just having a little chat in the break and of course
00:17 Abel and I are underneath it, we're a bit lazy and we go, it's easier.
00:22 It is easier.
00:23 We're easier to stay friends.
00:24 Yes, it's easier.
00:25 This is Nullifer Attick. Nullifer's a journalist and Nullifer, I think it's fair to say,
00:29 you can't understand why people feel the need to keep on good terms with exes.
00:35 I think there's a difference between staying friends and being on good terms.
00:39 It's always good to be on good terms with everybody in your life, but I just think,
00:43 I don't really understand why anybody would want or need to be friends with an ex.
00:48 It's not the want, it's why would you need to be.
00:50 The need.
00:50 You're not with them anymore.
00:52 Well, when you look at it, it's not the same as a friendship.
00:54 You're in a relationship, which means you obviously have a sexual relationship as well,
00:59 and a relationship is a unique bond between two people.
01:01 And when that relationship breaks down, as far as I'm concerned, the bond is broken, it's over.
01:07 And in order to move on with your life psychologically and in every other way that's
01:12 healthy, I think you need to let the past go and move forward.
01:16 Two words, rompy bumpy.
01:18 And that's what Nullifer is referring to and that's what Ruth, because the thing is...
01:22 Well, once that's switched off, it's switched off.
01:23 You haven't just been friends, have you?
01:25 That's my thing.
01:26 We weren't just friends.
01:27 Exactly.
01:27 - So you were married or you had a relationship with a person?
