00:04 The project came about by St John O'Gallat Hospital
00:07 looking at what the community's demand was and looking at our occupancy.
00:11 We're currently run at about 97% occupancy
00:15 and with the increased population of the Ballarat community
00:19 we knew that we needed to expand and create more services
00:22 and more area for the patients to attend.
00:26 Working with the B6 Wattpack and H-TRUNE
00:29 they collaboratively work together on every project, on every issue
00:33 not only to meet their requirements but also to meet the client's requirements.
00:37 This contract's been split into four separable portions.
00:42 The redevelopment includes upgrades in the existing medical services building
00:47 delivering new pathology, new CSSD, new cath lab,
00:52 new surgery amenities area and a new recovery space.
00:55 The new build includes a new entry to the hospital,
00:58 some shell space on level one, level two is a number of bedrooms or patient bedrooms
01:04 and then level three is medical services areas
01:08 including new operating theatres and new ICU areas.
01:12 Things are progressing really well on site.
01:14 We're moving through, fit out of all of our main areas,
01:17 about to move into a commissioning stage
01:19 and really looking forward to getting into the final throws of the project
01:23 and delivering the significant redevelopment of the St John O'Gallat Hospital.
01:27 We're really pleased now after a year and a half on site
01:30 we're entering the final stages with facade and roofing, cladding, closing in.
01:36 We've installed most of our static plant, particularly level four with the plant room,
01:41 currently installing pipe work, refrigeration and water pipe work,
01:46 mains cabling, preparing to energise the building.
01:50 Level two and three are mainly service bid off and finishes trades
01:54 with floor coverings, painting, plastering, wall linings,
01:59 preparing for commissioning and energisation in coming weeks.
02:02 It's been a good project working closely with our JV partner
02:07 and the hospital staff themselves.
02:10 Working in the clinical spaces you're getting interaction and feedback
02:13 from the staff that are actually using the facility at the end.
02:17 It's been great being able to bring local subcontractors into the project
02:21 and establish relationships that we can take forward into future projects.
02:25 Throughout the build we've been able to work together.
02:27 I think we've been like-minded in our approach
02:30 to the way that we've been able to build and manage the project.
02:34 A highlight for this building project has been the cath lab.
02:37 It runs really, really well.
02:38 It's set up really, really well.
02:40 Every surgeon and every doctor that comes in
02:43 looks at it and says it's absolutely fantastic.
