00:00It's a big day of football and netball in the Ballarat Football Netball League on Friday
00:05with two huge matches, the first game of course being the clash at Mattingly Park between
00:10Backusmarsh and East Point.
00:13What a day this is going to be for the Backusmarsh Football Netball Club
00:16with the unveiling of their big signing, Zach Toohey, in for his first game for the season.
00:22East Point, well they're the grand finalists from last season, they're undefeated
00:26but they're three very key players down, Billy Jones, Bryson McDougal and Henderson medalist Matt Johnson
00:33all won't be out there this weekend, so who knows what's going to happen.
00:37It's also a huge day at Backusmarsh for Simon Lefranchi who is one of the only two remaining Premiership players
00:43he plays his 200th game for the club, so a massive, massive day down there at the Snake Pit.
00:48The other game's sort of flown under the radar a little bit but in any other round this would be a huge match.
00:53Sunbury versus Redan, the Battle of the Lion's Den.
00:56Let's see who's going to come out on top.
00:58Both teams would have been really disappointed to run out of puff in the last quarter last week
01:02so we'll see what both can deliver.
01:04It's been a tough week for Redan on and off the field and I expect Sunbury to probably get the job done here.
01:10Let's not forget about the netball as well.
01:13The big one again is Backusmarsh versus East Point.
01:16Backusmarsh got their first points in six years last week when they picked up a draw against Redan
01:21which was later turned into a victory after they saw that there was a scoring malfunction.
01:26Whatever you do this weekend, enjoy the football on Good Friday.
01:30Make sure you give deep to the Royal Children's Hospital of Peel and enjoy the weekend.
