00:00 Good evening from Hampden Park, Celtic have won the Scottish Cup once again. They defeated
00:10 Rangers 1-0 here in a fairly poor Scottish Cup point of view. You have to see on the
00:19 balance not a lot of entertainment, lots of endeavour, great determination but a game
00:23 that really lacked in quality and I suppose it was summed up by the fact that the winning
00:28 goal which came on 89 minutes was born out of a mistake, an uncharacteristic mistake
00:33 from Rangers keeper Jack Butland. He spilled a shot from Paulo Bernardo into the path of
00:38 Adam Ida and he tapped home from 3-4 yards to spark wild scenes behind the goal. Celtic
00:46 scarcely deserved this victory, let's be honest, they huffed and puffed, their key players
00:51 didn't really perform that well in an attacking sense but Rangers themselves who certainly
00:57 put in a better shift than they have in an old firm match didn't do enough to win it
01:01 either. They had one moment, a disallowed goal from Abdallah Seema on 59 minutes, correctly
01:06 chalked off as the corner kick came in and Nicola Rassaneh pushed Joe Hart and that allowed
01:12 Seema to tap home. That fell on the Rangers' moment, they didn't carve Celtic open at any
01:17 point but they were very combative and Resolute Mohamed Diamond played very well. In fact,
01:22 the best players on the pitch were the guys that are known for their fighting qualities,
01:27 guys like Diamonde, Alistair Johnson, Cameron Carter-Figures and Liam Scales. This will
01:32 hurt Rangers though because they certainly felt that the team had the supremacy for most
01:36 of the match and that counts for nothing ultimately, Celtic have their hands on the trophy once
01:42 more. They've won the league and the cup this month, Rangers have won the Premier Sports
01:46 Cup, feels like a distant memory now and they've not won an old firm game all season. It means
01:51 that Celtic go into the summer very much as top dogs and manager Philip Clement at Ibrox
01:56 has now got a big job on his hands, he's rebuilt his team and tries to give the club belief
02:01 that they can beat Celtic because even when Celtic are at their lowest ebb and today they
02:05 were pretty poor, Rangers still can't find a way through. If it is here at Hampden, 1-0
02:11 to Celtic against Rangers, they are the Scottish Cup holders and they'll party long as the
02:15 night here in Glasgow.
