00:00Northern Mindanao's landlocked province is home to primitive forests, untouched wooded areas,
00:05delightful hot springs to soak in, pineapple plantations as far as the eye can see,
00:10a year-long cool climate, and a world-class zipline line ride that'll knock your socks off.
00:16And our Rod Laguzad is among the witnesses from the congregation
00:19as he makes the case to head for Bukidnon in this report.
00:24The province of Bukidnon is known for its pristine forests, lush foothills,
00:29cool climate, and warm-hearted and welcoming people.
00:32But if you are also looking for excitement and trails,
00:35you should not miss Dahilayan Adventure Park in the town of Manolo Fortis.
00:38Here you can try Razorback, the first alpine mountain coaster in the country.
00:42With the DOT bringing the Philippine Experience Program to Northern Mindanao,
00:46Tourism Secretary Frasco has tried it.
00:48She said the experience here is one of a kind, which is good for tourists,
00:52especially those who love nature.
00:54You won't see this just anywhere.
00:57This is really such a unique tourist destination.
01:00That's why I remember my childhood days of adventure being here.
01:06It's also very family-friendly.
01:08With this, the Secretary encourages everyone to try it.
01:11The members of the Diplomatic Corps who joined the Philippine Experience Program
01:14also had a blast like nearly everyone else did.
01:17What I've discovered so far is something that has really exceeded my expectations.
01:22I really loved the ride just now.
01:24It really gives me an exhilarating feeling coming down.
01:29In addition, there is also a zipline for visitors looking for an extreme and unforgettable experience.
01:34And I surely didn't pass up this opportunity to second-guess myself later on.
01:38According to the DOT, there are many emerging tourist destinations
01:42with great potential here in Northern Mindanao.
01:44What makes it even more meaningful is the sustainable tourism efforts that we see are being done here.
01:49There's conservation efforts and focus, especially that the Philippine Eagle is said to have flourished here.
01:59And also, we can see that there are many trees that are both endemic and new to the area.
02:07She added that true sustainable tourism communities in the area receive the help they deserve.
02:12This also includes overall sustainable development of the industry and their livelihoods.
02:16Rod Lagusad, from The National TV, for a new and better Philippines.
