00:00 A frontal system is making an approach to WA.
00:04 That's helping to draw down some warm air ahead of it, right down into the southwest
00:08 corner.
00:09 That will cause some high fire danger today.
00:11 For most of us though, a high pressure system that's been blocking us all week remains in
00:15 place, giving us pretty much the same weather we've had, well, all week, except in Tassie
00:19 where temperatures have dropped a little bit behind what was a decaying cold front that's
00:22 come through over the last 24 hours.
00:24 In terms of rainfall, there is some out of this front for WA, potentially some gusty
00:29 storms as well, but as it bumps into that high, it's going to weaken and then slip to
00:33 the south.
00:34 So essentially, we're not going to see huge totals in WA's southwest, but there is more
00:39 wet weather on the way, both there and further afield.
00:42 First of all, more fronts coming through this weekend will bring a bit more wet weather
00:46 to WA's southwest, not huge totals, but then mid next week, start to get this signal coming
00:51 through.
00:52 We're breaking down the ridge for a little while and the high pressure system is getting
00:55 pushed out into the Tassie.
00:57 That means temperatures pretty warm ahead of it for the southeastern corner.
01:00 This is right at the end of the outlook, so we'll have to wait a little bit for the models
01:05 to see how this is going to develop, but it looks like a signal of rain through large
01:10 parts of the interior of the nation.
01:12 Not huge totals at this stage, but let's get into the weekend to see what next weekend
01:16 is going to look like.
01:18 For your Saturday, we do expect some showers around in Brisbane.
01:20 It's getting to 23 degrees, a possible shower for Sydney as well, 20 there, but then a fine
01:25 16 in Canberra, though the cloud will keep the overnight temperatures above freezing.
01:29 Melbourne, you've got a clear 17, another 13 degree day for Hobart.
01:33 Adelaide's got a sunny 21.
01:35 Perth, showers, they are easing though.
01:38 25 will be your top, and then up north, Darwin, no change for you, sunny and 33.
