OpenAI Collaborates with News Corp, Gains Access to Top Publications for AI Development

News Corp and OpenAI announced a "multi-year global partnership" that will allow OpenAI to access current and archived articles from News Corp outlets like The Wall Street Journal, MarketWatch, Barron's, and The New York Post. As part of the deal, OpenAI can display News Corp content within its ChatGPT chatbot in response to user questions. OpenAI will also be able to use News Corp's content "to enhance its products" which likely means training its AI models. OpenAI recently gained access to Reddit's API to train models on Reddit content as part of a similar partnership.
