00:00 So as ever it has been a very busy week in the city of Bristol, so Charlie can you tell
00:05 us what is our top story in the city this week?
00:08 So our top story this week is that a new play cafe is opening in a former upholstery workshop
00:18 in South Bristol, so Tots and Teapots is moving into the old premises of Bristol Upholstery
00:27 Collective.
00:28 Thank you Charlie, so shall we move on to our second top story in the city this week,
00:33 tell me about that.
00:35 Next is that plans have been submitted to knock down the Gallery Shopping Centre in
00:42 Broadmead to make way for a new mixed use development, so the proposals include up to
00:51 450 homes, a hotel and 750 student accommodation units, this is alongside space for new shops
01:03 and also offices.
01:05 The plans are expected to be decided on later in the year and the shopping centre remains
01:11 open as usual for now.
01:15 Thank you Charlie, so we will see how that one goes in the future.
01:18 So shall we move on to our final top story in the city this week, tell me about that.
01:24 Finally is that the owner of one of Bristol's best known cafes has had her say amid fears
01:31 it could be sold, so Kay Leach who has run Brunel's Buttery on the Harbourside for nine
01:39 years with her husband says that no sale has yet been agreed for the business which is
01:45 known for its bacon sandwiches.
01:49 She says she's now looking at options to protect the future of the business and for it to stay
01:56 as individual and iconic as it is.
