00:59Noël...
01:01J'aime...
01:03Je vais partout à Noël
01:05Je me récupère avec mon missile-toe
01:07attaché à mes sacs
01:09et je peux embrasser tous les gars
01:11je me retrouve en contact.
01:13J'ai réussi à le prendre.
01:15Je n'ai pas réussi à le cacher
01:17car j'avais le missile-toe
01:19et il était dans le parc à voitures
01:21Je lui ai montré mon missile-toe
01:23et il est parti.
01:25Il est un vraiment fasse runner
01:27et je ne l'ai pas caché.
01:29C'est juste de l'excitement.
01:31L'excitement d'enfin...
01:33Après toutes ces années, ça me ramène à ma petite enfance.
01:36Quand j'ai de l'âge, j'aime écouter des carols de Noël,
01:39et c'est très agréable parfois, mais si il fait froid à Noël,
01:42et qu'il y a de la neige sur le sol, c'est merveilleux à côté de ça.
01:44Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way.
01:49So much fun it is to ride in a one-horse open sleigh.
01:54So, dashing through the snow, on a one-horse open sleigh.
02:00I love dressing up, yeah, I love dressing up for Christmas, yeah.
02:03The flashing earrings and all the techy stuff, you know.
02:08I just like the atmosphere and seeing the kids' faces.
02:12Yeah, just always liked it.
02:14So, jingle bells, batman smiles, all the way.
02:21La la la, la la la, la la la, la la la.
02:26I used to love it when I was a kid,
02:28but I've been a bit busy these past couple of years,
02:30so I've not really noticed it.
02:32It's just flown by, and then it's been completely gone.
02:35And the telly's so absolutely appalling.
02:38I just don't really see it go by.
02:39I feel really awful for saying that, because I'm not miserable.
02:42Christmas Eve, we get off early,
02:44so I run around all these mad places.
02:49Sometimes you get a bit jealous that everyone else
02:51is still snuggy and wrapped up in their beds,
02:53and you're out there in the freezing cold,
02:55but it's got its compensations.
02:57Being appreciated, that's actually...
03:00That's the nicest part of it, when you are appreciated.
03:03I think it should go back to the way it was,
03:05like the old pagan days.
03:06Yeah, yeah.
03:07Christmas.
03:08Celebrating nights, you just sit down
03:10with a big plate of organic food, that'll do.
03:12Midwinter's feast on winter solstice.
03:19She makes a marvellous cook.
03:20She makes a big turkey or chicken.
03:24We have pork as well.
03:28Little sausages wrapped in bacon.
03:30Little prawn cocktails to start off with.
03:33I don't really enjoy a proper Christmas meal.
03:36I did used to like a nice bit of turkey and stuffing
03:38and spuds and all the vegetables,
03:40but it's just salad and spuds for me now, I'm afraid.
03:45Trifle, it's always good.
03:48I'm always starving,
03:49so that's really what Christmas, I suppose, means to us.
03:53There's always an argument, isn't there?
03:55And sometimes even the turkey ends up on the wall.
04:00I think even if you hate turkey,
04:02you've got to have it at Christmas.
04:04I think it's the law.
04:05It's delicious turkey.
04:07Turkey butter, there's a bit of stuffing on it.
04:09You can't beat it, can you?
04:11A bit of cranberry sauce on mine.
04:14No, you can't beat that.
04:20I do feel I'm being pulled in all directions.
04:25They're all going to get a piece of me.
04:28So we had the normal sort of, you know, lunch
04:30and then sort of all sat around playing a few games
04:33and we had this great room,
04:35because we've actually moved since,
04:37but it was a converted barn
04:39and it was just one massive old stone barn
04:42with a snooker table in it.
04:46It turned out to be a bit of a party,
04:48you know, less of the sort of family stuff,
04:50but more of the sort of, you know,
04:51let's have a great old time.
04:53When I'm closing my eyes, I go,
04:56one, reindeer, two, reindeer, three, reindeer.
05:01I count them.
05:03And that's what makes me go to sleep.
05:07It's best if you're a kid,
05:09because then you ask for something.
05:12Like the new underwater man
05:15with the special tanks on his back and flippers.
05:19And instead of that, you get this big chemistry set
05:22and you're six years old
05:24and you've got 50 test tubes full of chemicals to play with.
05:29And you look at it and you go, oh, thanks.
05:34As far as exchanging presents goes,
05:37well, I've given up on that idea.
05:39I think people get more stupid with no money at Christmas.
05:43You know, the amount of stuff that people buy,
05:45I think people buy things just for the sake of buying them.
05:48They don't actually think, oh, this is useful, you know what I mean?
05:52You can get like a stocking, like a selection box,
05:57but a selection stocking for pets.
06:00That's different than sending your cat a card, isn't it?
06:03Because what can a cat do with a Christmas card?
06:07Imagine a farmer sending a card to his herd.
06:11For the coward Christmas.
06:18I'm obviously not crazy enough with my presents,
06:20but one thing that I always, always give,
06:23and it's the best present, because I was giving it myself,
06:26that was my fondue set, the best present in the world.
06:29Great.
06:31It's nice giving things.
06:33I came across an old saying, I love old sayings,
06:35they last because they're true.
06:38The grasping hand is never full.
06:40To be full, the hand has to give.
06:44The only thing I ever got given to me,
06:46because I didn't want to buy it, was a pair of boyfriends.
06:49I think that was the only thing I ever given to me,
06:51but it wasn't a Christmas present.
06:53But I can certainly give it to myself for a Christmas present.
06:56If you think it's tough for us,
06:58imagine what it's like for Santa Claus.
07:41Les gens vont probablement dire
07:43que ça doit être difficile de travailler tout le Christmas.
07:46C'est le moment le plus important.
07:49On peut utiliser toutes les compétences,
07:51on peut s'y accommoder.
07:53On peut s'y amuser.
07:59Joyeux anniversaire, Santa !
08:03Joyeux anniversaire, Jésus !
08:07Joyeux Christmas à tous !
