A Meteorite lands near his home in Outwood.
Transcript
00:00 It was early on bank holiday, Monday, the 6th of May, and I was outside, looked up in the sky, and I saw a bright light.
00:09 I thought originally that might be a firework. I was even looking for the stick at the back of it, but no it wasn't.
00:18 It came straight down, then it had a green hue around it.
00:23 What I distinctly remember is the burning sound, and I thought, well that's strange.
00:33 I looked it up, googled it, meteorite storms, and they said it could be a meteorite storm from Haley's Comet,
00:43 which comes over every, I don't know how many years.
00:47 That was it really. I saw it fall behind my house in Outwood, and I thought I'd go have a little look for it.
00:57 The next day I went to the adjacent street, and I found this in the road.
01:05 I picked it up, it was warm, it smelt burnt, and it's got a bit of weight to it as well.
01:11 I brought it home and wrapped it in some tinfoil, and now I've brought it to Professor Kelly at Leeds University,
01:20 just to verify it, validate it, and go from there really.
