00:00In front of the Senate, the former chief of the AFP Western Command confirmed that he was called by an official of the Chinese Embassy this January.

00:08But he did not allow a secret meeting in China about the West Philippine Sea.

00:20At the first opportunity, Vice Admiral Alberto Carlos faced the Senate

00:25to give a clear and controversial audio recording of his conversation with a Chinese diplomat.

00:31The Chinese Embassy's allegation in that conversation is that Carlos agreed to a new model for the resupply mission in the West Philippine Sea.

00:56This is the story of Carlos, the former chief of the AFP Western Command.

00:59He was called by the Chinese military attache, Senior Colonel Lee.

01:04They talked about lowering tensions in the West Philippine Sea,

01:08especially whenever there is a rotation or resupply mission of Philippine troops in the BRT Sierra Madre in the Ionian Shoal.

01:25I condemn the act of the Chinese Embassy to record the conversation without my consent,

01:32much more to divulge it to the public with malicious twists and manipulation in order to appear that our discussion supported the corrosive narrative of PRC.
