00:06 Today, another mountain stage.
00:08 We say goodbye to the Val Gardena and we go to the Brocon Pass.
00:11 I can already imagine the wonderful landscapes we will see.
00:14 Let's go!

00:18 Hi, my name is Diego Gastaldi, I am a traveler and documentary filmmaker.
00:22 This year I decided to follow the tour of Italy to discover the beauties of the Bel Paese and the Made in Italy.
00:27 Follow me!

00:39 Hi Diego!
00:40 Good morning Cristina, what are we seeing today?
00:42 Here we are in Selva today.
00:44 Selva is this highest country here in Val Gardena, at 1,630 meters.
00:49 Today we are here in the higher part and so we see the country.
00:53 You see that it is well surrounded by these mountains.
00:58 On one side you go to the Passo Sella, on the other side, on the left, you go to the Passo Gardena.
01:01 Then there is this valley where I want to take you now so you have fun doing a nice pedal.
01:07 [Music]
01:13 Now you can do a 7 km pedal to the bottom.

02:22 Good morning Mayor!
02:24 Good morning Diego, welcome to Castello Tesino.
02:27 To get here I saw some wonderful places, a really beautiful nature.
02:30 Yes it is true.
02:31 Castello Tesino is on a high plateau at the end of the eastern Val Sugana and we are just immersed in nature.
02:39 I see this mural and it struck me.
02:42 It is a painting from 1952 and it depicts in all its facets the history and the typicality of the people of Tesina.
02:52 On the left we see the mounds represented, the work of the mountain.
02:57 Then we have the representation of our particularity of the world's ambulant seller.
03:03 On the right, instead, it represents the activity of the work of the forests.
03:07 So the trade of wood is precious with the Serenissima of Venice.
03:11 Diego, if you walk through the historic center of Castello Tesino, you can admire at least 50 paintings on the walls of the houses.
03:19 It is an operation that we have been doing for some years to make Castello Tesino a city painted in Italy.
03:26 Here we are Diego, we are at the San Rocco Park in front of the San Rocco Church, a church of the 1500, one of the five churches of Castello Tesino.
03:34 Above you see the church of San Ippolito, a church of the 1300 with particular and very precious paintings.
03:44 Next to it we have the archaeological excavations.
03:47 We have reached the fourth excavation campaign with finds of the Roman, Pre-Roman, Archaic and Bronze Ages.
03:56 The tourist offer that we have aimed at in recent years is the open-air viability, therefore in contact with nature.
04:04 So we have available hotels, bed and breakfast, houses and holidays.
04:09 We are mainly aiming at slow tourism, therefore a recovery of nature, of the mountain, of the landscape that we see around.
04:18 In fact, we have 170 km of mountain bike tracks and 120 km for the walk.
04:27 Equipped because they have two dedicated people for control and a team of workers who practically take care of the routes daily, so they are safe.
04:39 Routes certainly suitable for sports, for families and of course for slow tourism.
04:47 Castello Tesino is right on the border with Veneto and for this reason on the ridge of the Cerrado plateau
04:55 we wanted to build a work of art, a griffin, which represents this duality that we have, Trentino-Veneto, made with the scraps of the Valle storm.
05:06 A disastrous storm that in October 2018 destroyed the forests of much of Trentino.
05:14 Today, Dolomite stage, we left the Val Gardena and arrived at the pass of Brocon.
05:19 This is Castello Tesino, a small town immersed in green in these wonderful mountains.
05:25 The part that I liked the most was the pass Sella, beautiful, tiring, but really beautiful.
05:30 Tomorrow, instead, we will say goodbye to the Dolomites and we will go to Padua. See you tomorrow.
