Sean "Diddy" Combs is apologized for a recently surfaced 2016 video which sees him attacking his ex-girlfriend, singer Cassie Ventura. Diddy took to Instagram on Sunday to own up to the incident. The surveillance video, obtained by CNN shows Combs, holding a towel around his waist, running after a woman who appears to be Ventura after she is seen exiting a hotel room. He is then seen grabbing her by the back of the neck, throwing her to the floor, kicking her, dragging her by her sweatshirt and later throwing an unidentifiable object toward her.

01:04Ventura's attorney, Douglas H. Wigder, said on Sunday, in part, that Combs' most recent
01:10statement is more about himself than the many people he has hurt.
01:14When Cassie and multiple other women came forward, he denied everything and suggested
01:18that his victims were looking for a payday.
01:20On Friday, the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office said in a statement that they were
01:24aware of the video and that they find the images extremely disturbing and difficult
01:28to watch, but that we would be unable to charge as the conduct would have occurred beyond
01:33the timeline where a crime of assault can be prosecuted.
01:36The two parties were romantically involved for over a decade.
01:40In November, Ventura filed a lawsuit claiming that the music mogul trapped her for a decade
01:44in a cycle of abuse, violence, and sex trafficking.
01:48Ventura and Combs reached an undisclosed settlement and the case was dismissed the day after it
01:52was filed.
01:53Combs has since faced multiple new lawsuits this year accusing him of rape, sexual assault,
01:58and sex trafficking.
01:59He has denied all of the allegations.
