00:18He faces serious charges as many know including sex trafficking and racketeering.
00:22The allegations intensified however with the release of the hotel surveillance footage
00:26showing Combs attacking Ventura. His legal team claims this footage was
00:30deliberately leaked by the Department of Homeland Security.
00:32After the emergence of the 2016 footage, Combs posted a since-deleted apology video on Instagram
00:37acknowledging his past behavior. He stated quote,
00:40I was f***ed up. I mean I hit rock bottom but I make no excuses.
00:43My behavior on that video is inexcusable. I take full responsibility for my actions.
00:47In court documents they argue though that these leaks compromise his right to a fair
00:51trial and require an investigation into what they call government misconduct.
00:55Combs' attorneys are seeking access to emails and documents related to these leaks
00:59and have requested a gag order to prevent further media disclosures.
