Meet the woman obsessed with the colour pink - who wears shades of it every day, has pink hair and lives in a pink flat.

Vina Murad, 26, has loved the colour for as long as she can remember and says it has now "become her identity".

In 2023, Vina dyed her naturally brunette hair pink and now gets her locks dyed the same colour every six weeks.

Her wardrobe is filled with pink dresses, skirts, socks and blouses and if she wears anything that isn't pink she "doesn't feel like myself".

In February 2024, Vina moved into her new two bed flat and has a pink sofa, pink bedding and pink heart-shaped chairs.

Vina, a designer, originally from Woking, Surrey, but now living in Tokyo, Japan, said: "My wardrobe is filled with pink clothes or colours that will go with pink.

"I will buy clothes that aren't pink and then I won't feel like myself.

"At this point pink has became my identity.

"I think the colour really suits me and there is no better feeling than wearing a pink dress on a sunny day."

Vina said she has loved the colour for as long as she can remember and she was obsessed with pink cartoon characters growing up.

She said: "I feel like a lot of girls love pink when they were a child.

"I would always be drawn to pink coloured characters.

"I really loved the pink Powerpuff girl and would always fight with my cousin over who would be the pink one."

After moving to Japan in 2017 to study Japanese, Vina fell in love with the country and has lived there ever since.

She said: "After moving to Japan I realised people over here really love cute things more.

"It is part of their day to day. I have friends who are into certain colours too - one of my friends love purple.

"It is normal to be into your own aesthetic."

Vina said that 90 per cent of her wardrobe is filled with pink and the other 10 per cent is filled with colours that match pink.

She said: "Primarily my outfits are pink or colours that match pink - I will also wear a lot of white and green.

"I have pink dresses, skirts, sock, blouses and even ribbons and hair accessories.

"I don't feel myself unless I am wearing something pink."

In February 2024, Vina moved into a new apartment and is currently transforming it into a pink oasis.

She said: "When I moved into this new place I was so over the IKEA aesthetic and wanted to embrace the colour pink.

"I have a pink fluffy couch, bedsheets, heart shaped chairs and a pink rice cooker.

"I am hoping to get some pink wallpaper for the flat too."

00:38 Get ready with me while I tell you how and why I moved to Japan and also what my life was like when I first moved.
00:43 Because I realised I haven't told that story on TikTok.
00:45 So to give you a little bit of a backstory about my life, I actually grew up quite poor, which people don't realise because I think I look really rich.
00:52 But my parents are both immigrants from Kurdistan in Iraq.
00:55 For those who don't know, Iraq and especially Kurdish people in general have had quite a difficult history.
01:00 And in particular my mum was actually a child bride, so she never finished her education or anything.
01:04 And she didn't actually want to move to Sweden, but she did, so I was born in Sweden.
01:08 I always hear people being like, "Oh my gosh, I really miss my childhood. I wish I could go back to my childhood."
01:12 I do not. I do not miss my childhood. It wasn't great.
01:14 My dad was quite abusive, so my mum ended up moving to the UK because it's the only place in Europe where she knew other people.
01:19 Because her family rejected her for divorcing her husband who was abusing her.
01:23 I'm laughing not because it's funny, but because it's how I cope.
01:25 But also I'm really telling this story because I feel like people think that in order to move to Japan or whatever, you have to have a really privileged background.
01:32 And I just don't. And I want other people who also don't have a privileged background to be like,
01:36 "Oh, maybe I can do the things that I want to do." Against all odds.
01:39 After a long custody battle, we were able to move to the UK with my mum.
01:42 And English was actually my third language. I couldn't speak any of it until I moved to the UK.
01:45 And I actually didn't like living in the UK at all. I know a lot of people have heard me talk about it.
01:49 I just didn't like it. And also at this time, I was really going through a lot.
01:53 I was mentally unwell. I had undiagnosed ADHD and bipolar disorder.
01:57 And especially the ADHD is really, like, I can't believe I was undiagnosed because I have pretty bad ADHD.
02:01 And I didn't know what it was, but I just knew that I wasn't happy with my life and I wasn't happy with the way my life was going.
02:06 So when I was 15, I decided like, "Okay, I really want to go to Japan. I want to see what it's like. I'll just study there for a bit and then take it from there."
02:13 Keep in mind, though, that I can't just, like, ask my mum for money. She was like a single mum raising two kids.
02:17 So when I was 16, I started going to sixth form college and I started working at McDonald's.
02:20 So I worked at McDonald's for a year and then I worked at Sainsbury's, a supermarket chain, for a year.
02:23 And then I worked at a taxi place and whatever. The point is I was working a lot and I hated it.
02:28 I hated this part of my life so much because I had to study so much and I had to work so much and I was so depressed.
02:33 Like, I would do school from morning until 5 and then 5 until 10pm I would do McDonald's.
02:38 And then I would go home and I would, like, do a bunch of homework and then when I'm falling asleep, I would, like, hear the fry machine from McDonald's because I just, like, couldn't relax.
02:45 But I saved, like, crazy for three years and then I ended up moving to Japan.
02:48 And I'm so sorry I ran out of time. Let me know if you want a part two.
02:50 Get ready with me for a cafe date in Tokyo's Koreatown. So I put together this preppy little look using some makeup that Flower Nose sent me.
02:58 It's the newest Little Angel collection and oh my gosh, you guys, I mean, it's Flower Nose.
03:03 So you already know it looks amazing and I'm especially excited to try out this pink blush.
03:08 So for base makeup, I'm kind of lazy. I just apply some concealer and some powder and I kind of call it a day, even when my skin isn't that great.
03:15 Also, people have been asking about these brushes. They're from Franfran. They're really cute but they're not that good so I pretend to use them for the camera and then I use my real brushes after.
03:22 Exposed!
03:23 Since I was planning on using such a bright pink blush and also such a bright pink lipstick, I decided to keep my eye makeup kind of neutral, just with a little bit of glitter.
03:31 Also, at this point, my cat Teddy started sleeping behind me. He's so freaking cute. Look at him!
03:36 I apply kind of an orange-y eyebrow color. I like quite light eyebrows. I actually bleach them maybe, like, once every two weeks or something like that.
03:43 I think it softens your features but I don't think it really works that well when my roots are as long as they are now so gotta get those fixed soon.
03:49 When I contour my nose, I always really focus on making the tip look rounder just because I think it makes it look really cute.
03:54 And I was so excited to try this blush. Oh my gosh.
03:57 So first, I apply it with this pretty rose-shaped blush brush but as you can see, it doesn't really do that much.
04:01 So then I go in with my real blush brush, which is this kind of small one just because I like to center my blush in, like, certain areas instead of, like, all over my whole face.
04:09 I was really happy with the pigmentation of this blush and I thought it was the perfect pink so this might end up becoming my new staple everyday blush.
04:16 Then I made my lips super pink. I ended up liking this color as well. Added a little bit of highlighter. Did my mascara.
04:22 I always clump up my mascara like this. I just really like the pointy look.
04:26 Then my makeup was done so I decided to put together a little outfit. I felt like I wanted to wear something preppy today.
04:31 I actually ended up putting on tights after this because I thought it was going to be cold but then it was too hot and I regretted it.
04:36 So, you should trust yourself.
04:38 Then I did my hair. I felt like my curls looked really nice today so I didn't want to, like, put my hair up but I also didn't want to have bangs because it's supposed to be windy outside.
04:45 So I just kind of put it back with this headband and added some accented pieces in the front.
04:49 So a fun fact about my hair is because my hair is naturally curly, you can't really curl it with a curler because then it ends up looking really smooth and unnatural and doesn't really fit with the rest of the hair.
04:58 So in order for me to try to make my curls look nicer, I have to put it in rollers and, like, wet it a little bit and just kind of leave it to dry.
05:04 While I wait for that to dry, I finish off the rest of my look and then that's pretty much it. I'm all ready once I'm ready to take out the rollers.
05:10 And that's pretty much the final look so definitely leave a comment down below to let me know what you think, especially about my hair. I never have it out like this.
05:17 So, yeah, let me know your thoughts.
