00:00Hello from the Bureau. Let's check out your weather for the coming week. Today is a Monday the 20th of May and there is a
00:06couple of key words jumping out of the forecast for the next few days. Sunny, cool and dry across
00:12almost all of the country. As we'll see on our map for Monday, no big fronts, no big lows, no big weather systems.
00:18It's dry and clear weather for the most part. A couple of very light showers clipping
00:23southern and eastern coastlines in the next few days, but lots of clear sunny weather as well. And for Tuesday,
00:28one of the main talking points will be the chilly temperatures, particularly through those morning hours.
00:34It's likely to be another frosty start for many across eastern and southeastern parts of Australia.
00:40Most of the frosty areas are concentrated in northern and eastern Tasmania, eastern Victoria,
00:46particularly around the high terrain, and southeastern New South Wales.
00:49But we could even see a light smattering of frost in sheltered parts of southern and central Queensland,
00:55southern parts of the Northern Territory, and eastern parts of South Australia.
00:59Once that frost has thawed, it will be a fresh, cool day across the southeast, lots of places tracking to about 15 or 16 degrees.
01:06A little warmer along the coast pushes Sydney to 19, Brisbane warmer still at 24.
01:11Adelaide sees a 17 degree day. The warmth though continues out west, 27 degrees in Perth.
01:18They are going to be extending their ongoing record for days above 25 degrees at this time of year.
01:25I'm at risk of repeating myself here on Wednesday because the map looks very, very similar.
01:30Broadly dry, clear and settled. Once again, the odd hint of a light shower across the Tasmanian,
01:36Victorian, New South Wales and Queensland coasts, but very little to any rain expected in most areas.
01:42Another frosty start on Wednesday.
01:44In mostly the same areas, the one spot that probably gets even more frost on Wednesday is South Australia,
01:49with broader areas of chilly, potentially icy conditions, including a cool start to the day in Adelaide.
01:56Before another fine and settled day, once again, temperatures in the teens through Tasmania,
02:00Victoria, most of New South Wales, most of South Australia.
02:03And it is much, much warmer again along the west coast, high 20s to low 30s,
02:08and of course warm across the tropical north.
02:11Just before we finish, a quick look at the total rainfall, which is next to nothing for the next three days.
02:16This is Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday rain altogether on the same map.
02:19I will quickly zoom in to the few places which are seeing just a bit of rain.
02:23A few showers across the northern coasts of Queensland, 5 to 25 millimetres there in the next few days.
02:29And the one other spot that could see some enhanced shower activity is this little bit that sticks out
02:34on the New South Wales coast around the Hunter area.
02:37So spots like Newcastle could also see 5 to 25 millimetres in the next few days.
02:42Just single digits in Sydney, and single digits in all places at most in Victoria too.
02:48So you can stay up to date with your weather this week, even though it is fairly settled,
02:52through the Bureau website and app, and we'll keep the content coming your way on social media too.
