00:07 Hi, my name is Adelaide Charlier.
00:09 I'm a climate justice activist from Belgium and based in Brussels.
00:13 And if I were an MEP, I would not let go of the Green Deal.
00:18 I would actually fight for it to be more systemic, more holistic.
00:23 And most importantly, I would not make the Green Deal about climate.
00:27 I would make it about a European vision.
00:29 I would include citizens, so for example,
00:31 include the recommendations of the Conference of the Future of Europe.
00:35 And making sure that we take into account citizens when we put so
00:38 much effort in actually organizing ourselves to include them.
00:43 If I were an MEP, I would realize there is a lot of work to change the narrative
00:47 around climate transition.
00:49 And I will say to my colleagues that there is no other way but to transition.
00:54 Because change is coming, and it's either we organize it, and
00:58 it's either we organize it, or we suffer from it.
