00:03 [INAUDIBLE]
00:31 Come on, ladies.
00:33 Take it away.
00:35 Cut the ribbon.
00:36 Cut the ribbon.
00:37 Yay.
00:38 [APPLAUSE]
00:41 Mr. Wayne.
00:42 [INAUDIBLE]
00:47 So as you can see, we're quite busy already.
00:49 It is quite early in the morning.
00:51 [INAUDIBLE]
00:51 We've got quite a few people have come in.
00:53 Obviously, the wonderful Mr. Sean Wayne is here.
00:56 But I'm just going to show around and explain
00:58 what's going on, Sean.
01:00 So this will be our main studio.
01:02 Obviously, we've got the mirrors that we've put in.
01:04 We've put a whole new floor in.
01:06 We've bought the piano, clearly.
01:08 We have another keyboard that we're
01:09 going to use while this is being used for dance, which
01:12 we'll use in the other room, which I'll show you now.
01:16 This is all the gang from Sunshine House who support us.
01:19 All good.
01:20 Liz, with the blue hat on, is extremely eager to meet you.
01:24 Liz, I've told him you've got a thing about him.
01:27 Come on.
01:27 I know you anyway.
01:29 I do, because I've always followed you.
01:31 Liz is the manageress of the whole center.
01:33 Am I good?
01:34 Yeah.
01:34 No, so she runs all of that.
01:35 You're building.
01:36 Yes.
01:37 Yeah, so--
01:38 So you do everything?
01:39 I do, actually.
01:40 She does actually do everything.
01:42 If I take you over here and show you
01:43 what they're doing next door, basically what they've done
01:46 is knock it all into one.
01:48 And this is going to be a cafe bistro.
01:51 So not only will be the only dance school
01:53 with a grand piano in it, we'll also
01:55 be the only one where parents can sit and have
01:57 a cup of coffee and a cake while the kids are dancing.
02:00 So that's the whole--
02:01 Yeah, plus everything from the community over there
02:03 is going to come over here.
02:05 So it'll all be under one roof.
02:07 So over there will be more like a training hub.
02:09 All right.
02:10 The main point of us getting together
02:12 is this site does so much for people with no money,
02:15 people with alcohol addiction.
02:17 And what we want is to bring them through the door
02:19 with the kids, really, so they feel comfortable asking
02:22 for help and everything else.
02:24 That's the way we're doing it.
02:26 The lessons are only 1 pound 50 for the first 12 months,
02:28 no matter what they do.
02:30 Piano lessons are free for three months
02:32 because Park Pianos are sponsoring us for that.
02:35 For 30 kids.
02:36 First 30 people to sign up are getting free for three months.
02:39 So the kitchen's going to be in there.
02:41 It'll all be super duper.
02:42 That's the built kitchen.
02:44 Yeah.
02:45 Who's done all this for you?
02:47 Well, the flooring next door was done by Ashcroft Flooring.
02:53 So our builders are NCA builders.
02:56 So we've had great savings and lots of money
02:59 from all our customers and it's been very profitable.
03:02 We spent 45 grand next door.
03:04 We borrowed the money from GMCVO, which is a loan company,
03:08 to actually do it.
03:10 We do get funding for about two, but there was no way
03:13 the funding would have allowed us to do this.
03:15 So we've had to write a business plan,
03:17 go out to the open market and borrow the money.
03:19 So Donna and I, if this doesn't work,
03:21 we'll bang on the door asking for a few quid.
03:23 [LAUGHTER]
03:25 Yeah, so, I mean, we're nearly there.
03:28 It might not look like it, but we are nearly there.
03:30 No, I can see that.
03:32 It's a great space, though, isn't it?
03:34 It's a fantastic space.
03:35 It really is.
03:36 The other thing we've got, we've just put a bid in
03:38 for 20,000 quid for awards for all national lottery.
03:43 Because one of the things we're in at the moment
03:45 is relationship with railway coaches.
03:47 So what we're going to do is a bus is going to go around
03:50 Wigan every fortnight, picking up any one of the
03:55 90,000 or so people who live here, to bring them here
03:59 for a ballroom dance and a high tea dance,
04:01 and then take them home afterwards.
04:04 So it's that social thing, how dance, well, you know,
04:08 with warriors, it's a social thing.
04:10 It's not just a...
04:11 I thought Ligeti could have been one of the kids
04:13 with no money.
04:14 I know, I know.
04:15 And also Magic Dog has danced.
04:17 At Tina's, I know, well, I used to play piano at Tina's.
04:20 I know all about that.
04:21 Do you want to hold his hand while you have a separate pair of scissors?
04:24 (laughing)
