00:03 - Missouri with the latest update there.
00:05 - Yeah, the Missouri legislator
00:09 winds down their session this week.
00:11 We've seen a house proposal pass its chamber
00:16 the past two years.
00:17 It's on the floor now waiting to be passed,
00:20 but I don't even think they're gonna bother
00:22 to get sent it over to the Senate
00:23 because it's been killed the past two years
00:25 by pretty much a single senator, Denny Hoskins,
00:28 who wants to include video lottery terminals.
00:31 Again, a slot-like machine that can go
00:34 in convenience stores and gas stations,
00:36 and nobody else really wants to do that.
00:39 So, you know, the legislative stalemate
00:42 has gone on for three years now.
00:44 It's made the pro teams that are supporting
00:47 that legislation upset.
00:50 They've led this ballot proposal that, of course,
00:53 as we talked about last week, I believe, is successful.
00:56 They had enough signatures.
00:57 They've turned it into the Secretary of State.
00:59 It should, as long as it's all enough valid signatures,
01:02 get on the ballot in November.
01:04 And if the support publicly is there,
01:07 as everyone kind of assumes,
01:09 Missouri sports betting could do a little end-around
01:13 around the legislator and be legal
01:16 within the next year or two.
