00:00 How's it going?
00:01 I'm doing so well. How are you doing?
00:02 I'm great. I would think you're doing well.
00:04 You have a pretty hot smash right now,
00:06 if I do say so myself, with Austin.
00:07 It's pretty crazy.
00:08 I, like, can't even believe it's happening.
00:10 It's pretty wild.
00:11 It is just growing day after day.
00:12 Are you on TikTok watching everything,
00:15 or are you trying to keep a healthy distance?
00:16 I'm trying to keep a little healthy distance,
00:18 but also every time I hop in there, it's like,
00:19 "Did your boots? Did your boots? Did your boots?"
00:21 And I'm like, "Okay. That's enough."
00:23 But I'm so grateful.
00:25 It's just, like, been the wildest ride of my entire life.
00:26 Yeah.
00:27 And it's crazy that my first breakout single, like,
00:29 got me here, you know?
00:31 It's insane.
00:32 Major label deal, everything.
00:33 Major label deal, the whole nine yards.
00:35 Yes.
00:36 You also are bringing back line dancing,
00:38 which is, like, an unintentional side effect.
00:40 Yeah, kind of.
00:41 I mean, I, like, genuinely go line dancing
00:43 all the time in Nashville,
00:44 and so my intention behind that was, one,
00:46 seeing, like, people at my concerts.
00:49 Line dancing would be the coolest thing in the entire world,
00:51 but also, like, I want to bring back
00:53 that culture of line dancing to, like, to the world
00:56 and, like, to, like, my generation
00:58 that kind of lost it, you know?
01:00 I did it in gym class, and that was the last time.
01:02 Exactly. No, literally.
01:03 Everyone always says that.
01:04 Like, I kind of learned in gym class,
01:05 but I'm like, "No, it's time to go when we can drink
01:07 and have a good time."
01:08 It's a whole different thing, so, yeah.
01:11 So, you also -- The music video's stunning.
01:12 You have one of my favorites, Jaden Hossler, in it.
01:14 Oh, I love Jaden.
01:16 Tell me a little bit about how that came to be.
01:18 Jaden and I have been friends for a couple years now.
01:21 My brother's band went on tour with him,
01:22 and that's how we met.
01:24 Jaden's just an angel, and when I got with Hunter Marino
01:26 to direct the video, he is also really good friends with Jaden.
01:29 And it just kind of worked out perfectly,
01:30 where Jaden was down to be the deadbeat boyfriend.
01:33 And on screen, it was crazy.
01:35 Like, we were getting so into these characters
01:37 we were playing, so it made it easy for, like, me
01:39 and him to, like, commit to the roles
01:41 and, like, make it such, like, an acting-heavy music video,
01:43 which was my intention from the beginning.
01:45 And so I'm just really proud of that video, and I --
01:47 It's a really short film.
01:48 Yeah, no, I wanted it to be, like, a short movie.
01:50 Exactly.
01:51 You walk offstage, and you're like, "I hate you."
01:53 "I'm not a fan of this scene."
01:54 Literally, there was a scene where we were, like,
01:56 putting the towels back and forth,
01:57 and my heart was beating so fast.
01:59 I was like, "Oh, my God, you're, like, actually, like --"
02:01 Like, I'm scared of you right now.
02:02 And after every scene, we would do that.
02:04 He'd be like, "I love you. Are you good? Are you good?"
02:06 And I'm like, "He's such an angel."
02:07 So he's great.
02:09 Well, is there anything else you could tease for us
02:11 before I let you get in there tonight?
02:12 Oh, girl. Oh, girl. We got some music coming out.
02:14 We got a whole deluxe version of my album,
02:16 "What Happens Now," coming out late June.
02:18 So be on the lookout.
02:20 We will be ready. Thank you so much. Have so much fun.
