00:00 Okay, if I may start by asking about the idea behind getting Besson as a welfare dog?
00:05 Yeah, we wanted to come up with some idea for helping the children who were struggling with anxieties really.
00:11 And dogs are known to have a positive impact on people's wellbeing.
00:18 And she's in training at the moment isn't she?
00:20 Yeah, she's just in training at the moment, so she's only very young, she's only a puppy at the moment.
00:25 So she's basically just being socialised, she's coming in and getting used to the building and the noises
00:32 and all of the different things that happen in a school to make sure that she's confident and calm.
00:36 Already having a positive impact on the children?
00:38 Definitely yes, makes everybody smile, makes all the staff smile as well.
00:42 So how do you think the dog's going to benefit the school and boys?
00:45 I think it's going to help my four year 11s when they're doing their GCSEs.
00:51 And if they're stressed they could have five minutes hours of GCSEs with the dog to relieve their anxiety.
00:58 Just the same as GCSE, you might go into school worried about GCSEs, don't know how you'll do.
01:04 But you might just look at the dog and partner with someone and you might feel more confident.
01:10 Also for year 6ers coming into our school, maybe it'll help them with moving schools.
01:19 It's a different environment.
01:21 So any anxiety they've got, it'll help them?
01:23 Yeah, they can let out stress on the dog.
01:26 And seeing bestie, put a smile over everyone's face?
01:28 Yeah, definitely.
01:31 Hello.
01:33 Hello.
