Staff at 'nurturing' Sunderland school are 'over the moon' with good Ofsted judgment

Staff and children at New Penshaw Academy have been reacting to the school's good Ofsted report.

00:00Okay, well we've just had your good officer report through, so how do you feel about the

00:05judgment and what pleased you most?

00:08We were absolutely over the moon with the judgment, we know we're a good school so

00:11it was just nice to kind of get that validation and get that judgment that we are, that confirmation.

00:18I feel like the report really captured who we are as a school, our children are at the

00:22heart of everything that we do and the staff here work really really hard and tirelessly

00:26to make sure that we give our children the best opportunities we possibly can and make

00:30sure that they're ready for their next stage of education and I feel like the report just

00:33confirmed how good we are.

00:35And what was the reaction of staff when you told them the judgment?

00:37Over the moon, lots of smiling faces.

00:57I love to make friends and play with all of them.
