00:00I wanted to ask, because obviously the question that's always in my mind is,
00:03how close are we getting to the original Planet of the Apes?
00:05I wondered, for you, if you can talk about it, how close do you think we are to that?
00:09I don't think we're close. I think we've got a long road ahead of us.
00:12You're right. It's just 2,000 years that range, or something like that, close to that.
00:18So we've got a long time before that thing happens.
00:21We've got a lot of story to tell before that.
00:23We've still got to blow up the Statue of Liberty.
00:25We've still got to erase almost all signs of humanity.
00:27We've got to get apes to decide to erase all concept,
00:31all knowledge of what humans were, for some reason.
00:33There's so much great stuff to explore, I think,
00:36before we even get to that Charlton Heston coming down from space.
00:39Obviously, we know that space is crucial and important in all this.
00:43There's plenty of things for us that we've got in our minds of what we can do there.
00:47But yeah, looking forward to it.
00:49And actually, obviously, this film, at the end, really sets it up for more going on.
00:53So I wondered, are there plans for sequels? Do you know what you're doing?
00:56Yeah, we hope so.
00:57If the movie's successful and audiences seem to appreciate it and like it,
01:01we've got ideas for where we want to go with this thing.
01:03We've been talking about it for years now, this movie, and where ultimately we want to go,
01:07and setting up things subtly that we think we could pay off in the future movies.
01:11There's plenty of stuff to do there.
01:13So we're excited and hopeful that we can continue on with this series
01:19and contribute something to this crazy franchise that's lasted for so long.
01:26Yeah.
