01:45 likes to bust out on occasion, it can be all too easy to be swept up and torn apart.
01:50 And that's all before he decides to conjure up a barrage of dark orbs and saturate the
01:54 battlefield.
01:55 No wonder Artorias struggled so much against this guy.

02:11 The black sheep of the trilogy, one in which it feels like you're fighting the game just
02:15 as much as you are its bosses.
02:17 That being said, even die hard veterans who adore this sequels punishing mechanics found
02:21 themselves struggling against this doomed swordsman.
02:24 While combating and countering his dual wielding swings is challenging enough, it's when he
02:28 enters his second phase that things get ridiculous.
02:32 Imbuing his ultra great sword in dark fire, the Fume Knight will start to lash out with
02:36 swings and bursts that are sure to pepper you with damage, large in part due to those
02:40 ridiculous hitboxes.

02:53 We won't pretend that Yharnam and its adjacent realms aren't filled to the brim with horrors

03:46 When it comes to the closing chapter of the original trilogy, you can take your pick from
03:50 its very own big three as to who you feel is worthy of the title of hardest.
03:55 Dark Eater Medeir might just be the most difficult Dragon Boss in the history of gaming, while
04:00 Slave Knight Gael offers a titanic duel that serves as a pitch perfect ending to Dark Souls'
04:05 bleak narrative.
04:06 But for our buck, we have to give it to the King.
04:09 Atop his Wyvern, he'll not only strike out with his spear, but can also blanket the arena

04:15 And yet, somehow, he's even more of a challenge after his pet is slain.
04:20 Between the lunges, slashes and sunlight spears, all of which have askew timings by the way
04:25 to throw you off your game, the King proved himself worthy of his crown very quickly in
04:30 the eyes of gamers.
04:37 Ishim the Sword Saint - Sekiro - Shadows Die Twice
04:47 Enemies such as the Demon of Hatred and Owlfather push the already ferociously steep learning
04:52 curve to new heights with their high endurance and even higher damage output.
04:56 But at the end of the day, there's no beating the strongest swordsman in the land.
05:00 Reborn in his prime, Ishim is three phases of brutality that demands perfection to overcome.
05:06 When he's not cutting through the heavens with his sword, he's catapulting lightning
05:10 with his spear, and, just for fun, might start blasting with a hidden firearm.
05:15 Ishim truly is next level.

05:31 While there's every chance a new foe will rise up to take the title come the release
05:35 of Shadow of the Erg Tree, for now, Melania remains the queen of difficulty in the lands

05:43 The reach of her sword and inhuman speed are downright diabolical, especially when every
05:48 strike heals her to a startling degree.
05:51 This all culminates in her now infamous Waterfowl Dance, a barrage of strikes that can easily
05:56 reduce your health to zero if you take the brunt of it.
06:00 Overcome that, and she'll make the transition to Goddess of Rot, where she'll unleash
06:04 an eruption of scarlet rot that at the very least will force you to keep your distance,
06:08 and at worst, rob you of whatever measly life you have left.
