00:00So Dylan and Zoe, two of Warrnambool's up-and-coming junior umpires. Guys, you're
00:05off to Kadynia Park this Friday, is it? To take part in the in the AFL game
00:10there. So Dylan, what do you get to do on Friday?
00:14Well, we do a bit of a meet and greet before the game. Then we walk out. We've been pre-game.
00:20They'll take us through what to do in preparation for it.
00:25Then at half-time, we get to play the Aussie game there. It's a good experience, especially
00:31in front of a big crowd. And you're both looking forward to it?
00:35Yeah, it's really exciting. It's my first time going as well. It's my second year here
00:42so it's kind of like, oh, I get to do this. It's another big step as well.
00:48And are you enjoying umpiring since you've taken it up?
00:50Yeah, it's really fun. It's a good community of people. Nothing's competitive. Everyone
00:55supports everyone. It's very nice.
00:59And you're enjoying umpiring too?
01:01Yeah.
01:02And do you both get to do central umpiring or boundary umpiring, or a bit of both?
01:06I've sort of transitioned to field umpiring this year. I was a boundary umpire last year.
01:12And what about you?
01:15I've got field umpiring this year, and I'm going to work up to the central next year.
01:20And what do you guys love about umpiring?
01:23It's fitness, I guess. And it's really, like I said earlier, it's a really good class.
01:34And what do you love about it?
01:36Probably the people around it. You get to meet a lot of people.
01:41Any of you guys Geelong supporters?
01:43No.
01:44That's alright. Well, no, good luck for the weekend, or Friday.
01:47Thanks.
