00:41 hat. "This outfit is so amazing, an amazing take on gilded glamour. Tell me about your look tonight."
00:48 "I'm with Vivienne Westwood, and got a little naughty latex happening. I love the fuchsia,
00:54 it's a little bright in the..." Despite her show-stopping appearance,
00:57 she admitted the outfit was more of a spur-of-the-moment choice,
01:00 and confessed she wasn't much a fan of it. "Wait, we have a social media comment. SZA doing what
01:07 needed to be done. #MetGala, you did what needed to be done." She also said she found the red
01:14 carpet overwhelming, triggering anxiety as she struggled with her discomfort. She revealed that
01:20 she found it all so stressful that she quietly slipped away, dodging the cameras and sneaking
01:26 off into the night. "I took a cab. I walked like three city blocks with no shoes on. I had too much
01:32 anxiety to wait for my cab in front of the crowd and take pictures and all those things that I
01:36 didn't want to do." It was only after she was in the clear that she swiftly hailed a cab and made
01:41 a beeline for her hotel. Number 5, Band, Josh Hartnett. Band may be a strong word here. While
01:48 this 90s teen idol has attended in the past, he's since failed to make much of a splash in the 2010s.
01:55 Vogue decided to show him the door and bolt it tight behind him. "You cannot conduct personal

02:06 and that's my property." Apparently Calvin Klein was interested in dressing him for the 2016 event,
02:12 but was told he was not invited. In fact, one Vogue employee allegedly said ever so savagely,
02:19 quote, "What has he done lately?" Ouch. "We have Dave Franco and then who's the other one you're
02:24 saying? Josh Hartnett. What has he done lately? Nothing." Imagine being told you're not welcome
02:30 at a major event because you're irrelevant. Well, Hartnett made a comeback in 2023's Oppenheimer,

02:41 Number four, doesn't want to go, Jennifer Garner. The last time Jennifer Garner walked the Met
02:47 Gala red carpet was back in 2007 when she wore a floor-length red gown designed by her date for
02:53 the night, Valentino Garavani. "I went to the Met Ball exactly one time." While she looked absolutely
02:59 breathtaking, it sounds like she has no intention of going back. During a beauty routine video for
03:05 Vogue, the actress revealed that she found getting ready for the event and attending with such an
03:10 icon, quote, "really majestic and special." Sounds promising to us. So what's kept her away from the
03:16 red carpet for all these years? Well, apparently she found the whole event kinda scary. Well,
03:22 you know what they say, celebs, they're just like us. "Um, I found it a little scary, so I'ma
03:26 bend back." Number four, banned, Lili Reinhart. The Riverdale actress has attended the event
03:33 three times in 2018, 2019, and 2021, and has even admitted that she found the event quite enjoyable.
03:40 "What can you expect from your first Met tonight?" "Well, I don't know. I guess we'll see."
03:46 However, in 2022, she took to social media to vent about this celeb, who had been chatting
03:52 away about their extreme diet and workout routine just to fit into their gala gown.
03:57 "When you know very well that millions of young men and women are looking up to you
04:01 and listening to your every work, the ignorance is otherworldly disgusting."
04:05 She didn't name names, but come on, we all knew who she meant. That same year,
04:10 Kim Kardashian made headlines for wearing Marilyn Monroe's iconic dress and openly discussing her
04:15 efforts to fit into it. So after calling her out, Reinhart had a feeling it might've cost
04:20 her a Met Gala invite. "But after going again this year, I don't think I'll be invited back.

04:30 Number 3 doesn't want to go - Zayn Malik
04:33 Despite being a member of one of the biggest boy bands of the 21st century,
04:37 Zayn Malik prefers to live his life away from the spotlight.
04:41 "And I'll be gone, gone tonight. The ground beneath my feet is over white."
04:49 Is there a bigger spotlight than the Met Gala? You might remember that the singer
04:52 attended in 2016 with his then-partner Gigi Hadid. Those robot arms really were something.
04:59 "My main thing with clothes is I just always try to like make my outfit look cool. I don't know
05:05 why that is. It's just something I wanted." Yet in the following years, Hadid attended solo,
05:10 sparking speculation that maybe Zayn wasn't on the guest list anymore.
05:14 Then in 2018, during a profile interview with GQ, Malik called the gala quote "self-indulgent,"

06:52 Alexander Wang ensemble, yet she wasted no time seeking an exit strategy. Even rubbing shoulders

07:54 On the Late Late Show segment "Spill Your Guts or Fill Your Guts," she faced the choice of eating
07:59 pickled pig's feet or revealing if anyone was unwelcome at the Met Gala. Luckily for Winter,
08:05 the decision was a no-brainer. "So my question is, who would you never
08:10 invite back to the Met Gala?" Trump has attended the Gala multiple times
08:18 and reportedly never changed his look from year to year. However, it appears his Met Gala days
08:23 are over, so his outfit can just sit gathering dust in the closet. We also don't think it's a
08:28 coincidence that Melania or Ivanka haven't been seen at the event as of late either.

10:28 the Met Gala?" "It is very true." During an appearance on Fashion Police back in 2016,
10:34 Gunn shared the incident that ignited his feud with Winter. Seemingly, Vogue's editor-in-chief
10:39 didn't appreciate being the subject of Gunn's most unforgettable moment and promptly booted
10:45 him from the guest list. "What is the most unforgettable thing I've ever seen in fashion?"
